Hi guys, I'm back for Spooky Month 2026! Sorry I've been gone for a while, I seem to always be having some kind of hurdle to getting videos made (this time it was changing computers and finding that nothing worked on my new one and then not having the motivation to fix those issues until now). But now I have my setup working again and will be posting a semi-blind playthrough of the Silent Hill 2 remake! I say "semi-blind" because I have played and loved the original game, so I have lots of memories and thoughts about the story, but I haven't played the remake yet. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you! First video will be posted soon, and they are chonky!

Note: this is a playthrough and not a trophy guide, though I do look for collectibles and grab a bunch of trophies along the way. I play horror games slowly and methodically, and I like to share my thoughts about the story and character development. I am a psychologist, and this game has always felt special to me in terms of its mastery of psychological horror. Therefore I have lots of thoughts! If you don't like commentary, this is not the playthrough for you!

PSA for video game hunters/collectors: GameStop is having 4 under 20 for $40 and 4 under 10 for $20 sales in stores this week. It is not advertised on their website, but it is happening in stores. Grab some good deals, and remember to ask for retro! A lot of locations have stock in their drawers that isn’t on the floor. Happy hunting!

New series for spooky month! I recorded my playthrough of Resident Evil 4 HD and will be sharing it with you all to celebrate Halloween. I also have the Separate Ways campaign and my Professional Run recorded as well, so the plan is to drop one video each day during the month. First chapter should drop tonight! Hope you all have a great month full of ghosts and goblins and treats!

It's on! A few weeks ago I picked up some PS3 games (takes a little while to get the videos edited and out, so that pickup was from the end of July), and yesterday I picked up the console to play them on! I am still testing it all out, but I'm hopeful it'll continue to work. I got it from a pawn shop that "tested" it, and when I turned it on, the hard drive was completely corrupted. After trying and failing to rebuild the database (which took several hours only to fail), I googled how to get it into safe mode and tried again to reset/rebuild the database with no success. Completely factory resetting it worked though, and I've been able to test out a few of the games and go online and update the software. If anyone knows anything about hard drive corruption and red flags to look out for, please let me know! I have a few weeks' warranty on it, so I will be putting it through its paces to make sure I don't need to return it. Excited!! Hope you all are having a fantastic week! See you soon with the long-time-coming Ramblings from June and July!

Announcing a new series that I hope you will enjoy! This year between December 14th and December 25th I will be challenging myself to earn 1 platinum trophy every day! Rules are: I must start and finish each game during the time frame (no trophies earned prior to Dec 14); I must earn 1 platinum each day for a total of 12 platinum trophies by Christmas Day; No shovelware titles; No autopops. Most of the games I have curated are between 4 and 12 hours of estimated completion length, and most of them are games I have never played before, so this is going to be a challenging and hopefully entertaining series. I hope you will come along with me for the journey, as I plan to release a video each day as a wrap-up and highlights of my progress on that day and a compilation for the end! Happy Holidays to all!

Also, sorry for the delay for Ramblings for October (and November). I am finishing up some edits and will drop those videos soon!

Sorry about the delay on the latest video folks. My editing software suddenly stopped letting me publish videos, so I had to render this one in a different format. Hopefully the quality is still ok! Working on a fix, but until then, I might be able to use this format as long as it looks/sounds ok. Let me know if you notice differences!
