So I’ve been hearing reports about a possible Shin Godzilla sequel happening. There’s been rumors that the film will start filming this November. Now I’m on the fence about this. I did enjoy Shin Godzilla even though I’m not a fan of the design. I think Shin Godzilla is overrated despite being a good movie. However, I was totally fine if it didn’t get a sequel because I felt it was better off as a one and done movie.
I feel like placing Shin Godzilla in a standard "versus" matchup—like throwing Ghidorah, Destroyah, or whoever into the ring—would immediately strip away what made the 2016 film unique. It would reduce an atmospheric, existential horror piece into a standard MonsterVerse action spectacle.
The entire core of Shin is that humanity’s intelligence, logistics, and international cooperation are the only things standing against total extinction. The moment you bring in a "hero monster" or a rival titan to fight Shin for us, humans become passive spectators sitting in a war room watching a wrestling match.
If the studio insisted on giving him a physical adversary, it shouldn't be a classic space alien or an ancient Titan. It should be a human creation that horribly backfires.
Imagine world powers, desperate to destroy the frozen Godzilla, attempting to synthesize a bio-engineered enzyme or a synthetic weapon (a modern incarnation of Biollante or an Oxygen Destroyer entity).
The weapon mutates out of control, forcing humanity to realize they created a second, equally terrifying abomination. It preserves the theme of human arrogance without devolving into a cartoonish monster brawl.
In my opinion a Shin Godzilla sequel works best when Godzilla's primary rival is his own terrifying potential to out-evolve the planet.
If a sequel does happen cannot treat the 2016 original like a standard, disposable blockbuster hook. Shin Godzilla set a high artistic bar. A sequel would need to carry that exact same cinematic weight, respect the original’s haunting ending, and treat Godzilla as an evolving, terrifying presence without devolving into cheap sci-fi tropes or meaningless action.

Our first look at the new Godzilla Fest short film featuring Burning MireGoji against Monster X! This is going to be epic! It’s great seeing Monster X return in over a decade. Can’t wait to see the clash between these two.
I’m loving the Burning Miregoji design more and more.

So we’re in Spooky Month and I’ve been hearing nothing but positive feedback from people who saw Godzilla Minus One at the New York film festival. I’m glad they got to experience it! However I’m surprised that this movie is rated R?! The first Godzilla movie that’s rated R!
And yes I’ve seen the trailers and I know who’s going to be in the movie. But I’ve heard that they do something quite unique especially in the Kaiju battles. Oh boy I can’t wait for this movie to come out!
It looks like we’ve got another banger! I don’t know if I’m ready for this? Are you?
Let me know in the comments.

I just found out about the passing of Hayden Panettiere who died at the age of 36. I’m deeply shocked and saddened by this news. We’ve been losing a lot of young stars lately it’s crazy! She was best known for her roles in Heroes, Scream 4 & 6, a bug’s life and many more. All I can say is Rest in Peace, Hayden and thank you for your wonderful talents you brought to us. #kingdomhearts #screamfranchise #restinpeace

Got to see Spider-Man Brand New Day yesterday and it was amazing! Definitely one of the best Spider-Man movies ever! The cast and crew did an amazing job with this film. Although I did had some gripes with the film, in the end it was entertaining. Looking forward for what is in store for the future. I highly recommend. #spiderman #spidermanbrandnewday #mcu
