AWS just announced Lambda Web Functions — a new way to run web applications and HTTP APIs without managing servers! ☁️

💡 What’s new?

✅ Handle HTTP requests directly using familiar frameworks like Express and Hono
✅ Build AI inference endpoints, APIs, microservices, and SSR web apps
✅ Native HTTP streaming for delivering responses incrementally
✅ Pay for active CPU time instead of idle CPU time spent waiting for downstream services
✅ Support for multiple concurrent requests in a single warm execution environment
✅ Multi-Region routing for low-latency experiences 🌍

🆕 AWS is also renaming existing Lambda functions to Lambda Event Functions — just a naming change, with no code changes or redeployment required!

⚠️ Currently supports Node.js and is available in selected AWS Regions.
