🚨YouTube is very buggy, and it's getting frustrating.

Latest bug: Some of you have noticed that on the front-facing YT channel, it seems like the channel has been losing subscribers, about 1-2K per day over the last couple of days. Don't be alarmed. This is just a visual bug. In reality, the channel is growing steadily, and the true numbers are available through the backend (we're at 406K, nearly 407K).

Usually, when this discrepancy happens, it's YouTube trying to clear out bot-accounts. But I checked the behind-the-scenes and that's not it. You can check Social Blade to confirm this on your end.

The reality is this. YouTube has become extremely buggy. Before, creators had to face one or two bugs every few months. Now it's every week.

Just some days ago we had a site-wide no views bug for hours. A week ago pinned comments wouldn't work. Couple days ago YT's AdSense removed my payment info by accident. We consistently see comments meant for other videos appear on the wrong videos. Previously just YT shorts, but now also on videos and posts. And many, MANY more bugs. Just yesterday YT studio stopped working flat out.

All the while, YT keeps pushing out pointless tiny UI changes.

You and I know why this is happening. YT like every other major company in this field has been tapping into a particular labor market of people known for underperforming but also accepting lower wages, as well as using AI to fill in the gaps.

The "Enshittification" of apps, videogames, and software in general is well underway and will get worse.
