That old song got it right: "Read your Bible, pray every day, and you'll grow."
I've never seen a tree struggle to grow. As long as it's connected to the vine, growth is inevitable. It's the same with us. As long as we stay connected to Christ through His Word and prayer, we will grow.
Many Christians only read their Bible and pray once a week in church, then wonder why they're not growing. Spiritual growth requires daily fellowship with God.
