Epic News started out on Irish radio with Peter Ganley, before migrating to YouTube because it seemed like such a stable, healthy environment. Chris Greene joined the chaos shortly after.
Over the years, the pair built a reputation for comic catastrophes across screens big and small, earning a review from The Guardian as “cheerily contemptuous” (which they chose to take as a compliment).
These days, Peter is steering the ship solo while Chris is on "indefinite hiatus" - a very fancy way of saying he's not around at the minute.
So now it’s just Peter dissecting the strange, stupid, and surprisingly relatable nonsense happening in Ireland, online, and beyond: basically, all the madness we're meant to pretend is normal.

Hey gang,
Hope you’re all well. Peter here.
As you’ve probably gathered, regular programming on this channel is still on hold. Chris and I just couldn’t really make it work with us living in different places and our schedules being all over the place.
I’ve been making solo stuff for a while now and posting it over on Instagram and TikTok, and I thought I’d start putting some of it on YouTube too.
It’s a little different to the stuff I’d normally have posted here - obviously a bit more personal because it’s just me talking shite on my own - but it’s not a million miles away from the sort of nonsense we used to cover either.
I might end up giving it its own little home on a separate channel at some point, but for now I thought I’d put it on this one rather than leave it floating around everywhere except YouTube like some sort of digital orphan.
And sure, there are a couple of reasons this makes sense anyway:
I used to post my own ramblings on this channel right at the very start, roughly ten million billion years ago… and I genuinely miss interacting with people who’ve been around for a while. A lot of you have been subscribed and watching our videos for years, and that honestly means a lot to me.
The new stuff will mostly appear in the Shorts section, so have a look if you fancy it.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it and thanks for sticking about!
