My fears / phobias
Note: I will not be calling most of these phobias because phobias and fears are not the same thing. A phobia is an anxiety disorder (like an actual mental disorder you can get diagnosed with) where someone has an irrational fear that is completely blown out of proportion to how dangerous the thing is. (I am not against people who self diagnose if they use actual reliable sources from people who actually know what they are talking about, like medical websites or something. I just know that a lot of people on the Internet are misinformed about what a phobia actually is and I wanted to help clear that up.)
Ok now I'll list out some of my fears and stuff 😁
Social anxiety disorder - (the clinical term for this used to be social phobia. But people do not call it that anymore) the reason I am including this is because social situations are definitely the thing that scares me the most especially when it comes to people I'm unfamiliar with. It is quite literally debilitating for me at times
Bees and wasps - im scared I might be allergic, but I don't know if I am or not bc I've never been stung
Cars- the idea of potentially getting run over terrifies me. I hate crossing roads.
Sharp objects- I don't trust myself. I'm too clumsy
Fire/ hot things - I just don't want to be super close to anything like that. Candles sort of freak me out.
Heights- cuz I don't want to fall lol
The concept of having my eyes closed - I only want to close my eyes for long periods of time if I am laying in my bed to go to sleep. Otherwise, I get weirdly anxious for some reason
