Not every song I write begins with a melody.
Some begin with tears.
Some begin with prayers whispered when I don’t have the strength to say anything else.
“Help Me Lord” is one of those songs.
I wrote it during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I felt stuck. I had questions, fears, and moments when I honestly didn’t know what to do next.
So I did what I’ve always known to do—I ran to God.
Somewhere in the middle of that prayer, this song was born.
That’s why my songs are so personal to me. They aren’t just lyrics or melodies. They are prayers I’ve prayed, Scriptures I’ve held on to, and moments I’ve shared with God when no one else could see.
My prayer is that as this song ministered to me while I was writing it, it will also become a prayer for someone who feels overwhelmed, discouraged, or in need of God’s help.
If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “Lord… I need You,” then this song is for you.
