I grew up in an Orthodox Jewish home where we listened to Sir Patrick Stewart doing his one man performance of “A Christmas Carol” as our Erev Christmas minhag, which made SENSE. May his memory be an eternal blessing. I know a lot of us are feeling this loss today.

It was Eowyn’s laughter, in the face of pure malice and hate, that forever shaped my life thereafter.

Through Jewish text, thoughtful discussion, sharp humor, and joyful irreverence, we’ll consider what these ancient narratives reveal about death, our own lives, and the choices we make while we can. Designed for those involved in Chevra Kadisha, end-of-life work, and sacred care—as well as anyone curious about these timeless questions—this interactive workshop welcomes participants of all backgrounds, with no prior Talmud study required.
