CritiqalHit
Hey, everyone.
I've made the tough decision to finally let Critiqal Hit go dormant (something it's technically already been for far too long). I was really hopeful that I'd be able to keep producing content worth your guys' time (and money) but the reality is that I simply can't at this time and will be going back to exclusively using my @IAmNova account for what content I can find time to produce.
Critiqal Hit was my swing at continuing to do my game reviews and commentary in its own ecosystem with the website, youtube channel, and Patreon page. Ultimately I failed to both be consistent enough and create high enough quality content to break out into the creator sphere on YouTube that would make this a profitable venture. I certainly don't see CH as a failure as a whole, and I'm pretty happy with what was done, but it just wasn't what folks were particularly looking for or at the very least not what they were ultimately finding. Honestly, the name Critiqal Hit alone confuses Google/YouTube search so I kind of shot myself in the foot there lol.
That said, I know that many of you were using Patreon as another method of supporting my content that wasn't necessarily Critiqal Hit content whether it be my streams or otherwise. If you'd like to continue doing so, the best way to do that is by becoming a member on my YouTube page (youtube.com/@IAmNova).
I'm still going to make content when I have the time and something piques my interest but I can't commit in a meaningful enough way to justify CH continuing to be in operation. As it turns out, having a baby and starting a new career at the same time doesn't leave a lot of time for much else.
You guys put a few extra dollars every month in my pocket and Mark's pocket for a good long while and I really appreciate the support. I wish I was able to have done more.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, otherwise I just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
Cheers, and thanks again for supporting my attempt at this whole thing. It was fun! Maybe it will return in the future.
