Hi my name is Jennifer and I share practical techniques and knowledge for sewers of all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced sewists looking to expand their skills. This knowledge has been built from over 20 years as a home seamstress, and 6 years as a professional freelance seamstress, serving private clients as well as large corporations.
Here you’ll find tutorials on basic and intermediate sewing, alterations and garment fitting, pattern making, garment construction, professional finishing techniques, and plenty of practical sewing tips along the way.
My goal is to make sewing techniques easy to understand and help you build the skills and confidence to tackle more projects on your own.

Just finished a spontaneous live video where I altered the side seams of a suit jacket! It was after a full day of work so I was tired. Between handling the phone camera, and explaining what I was doing, I couldn’t handle the garment as well or with as much focus, and made a few mistakes. I thought about not posting it but….CONSISTENCY OVER PERFECTION. It has some gems in it, if you are patient and motivated to learn higher level alterations. 😊🧵👍
