Hello everyone! We have now reached the dizzying heights of 200 subscribers! Thanks to all subscribers and/or those who have offered comments. It is all greatly appreciated!
In a recent video, I mentioned an exciting development for the channel. This is it: a collaboration with orientaleaf.com/ The photo is of three of their recently-released products and they have kindly sent me some to review! We have, from left to right: On Taoism Silk Road Black Pearl Jin Hua Raw Pu-erh Fu Tea Bingdao Aged Raw Pu-erh Coin Cakes — Mengku Rongshi Bingdao Aged Ripe Pu-erh (2026 · Coin Cakes) — Mengku Rongshi
Astute viewers might notice a couple of changes inside the description boxes of videos, henceforth: using hyperlinks for vendors' websites and any other relevant links using timestamps, even for the relatively short videos
Fair warning to any potential viewers...we have an exceptionally long video coming up on the 9th September. It's a double review of two Wenshan Bao Zhongs...and it clocks in at almost an hour. To be fair that's 3 parallel steeps via Western/Teapot style, and 2 separate Gongfu sessions. Short of talking at 2x normal, I don't suppose there's much I can do about that...!
I couldn't resist buying another Liu Bao tuo. This time it's the 2016 Sanhe/Three Cranes "0607" 95g Tuo. I don't know anything about it, but for 10 years old it still smells incredibly potent!
This is a photo of the 2014 Sanhe/Three Cranes "0207" 100g Liu Bao Tuo (cake). I am led to believe it is a good example of one of their all-day/easy drinking Liu Bao teas. I am going to give it a few weeks to settle in to the climate in my house, and then we shall see what it has to offer!
I apologize for the horse I have made of the most recent video. I presume something went wrong with the upload, but it seems to have attracted slightly more interest at the very least! Thanks for your patience.
I seem to have deleted a video by mistake and I don't have time to 'reshoot' it. As such, tomorrow's video makes reference to a previous video as if it had been uploaded and already watched. That's the one that has somehow disappeared into the ether. Apologies.
Oops, just discovered the hazard of recording parts of different tea reviews in a row, as opposed to recording one review in its entirety. The review released today for the Shanlinxi Hong Shui has got the opening section from an entirely different tea. My apologies.
Hello everyone Just a word of explanation as to why there are now daily videos on this channel. It's not because I suddenly feel that there is an insatiable demand. It is simply that I would like to get through the '25 teas (where appropriate) before the Spring '26 teas become readily available on the market.
More Tea, Minister?
