Hans McCarthy’s First Nation Activism

Some favorite memories 💛 Grateful for the people I love, the little moments that make me smile, and the beauty around us. Trying to bring a little kindness wherever I go. Hope your day has something good in it too 😊

Hans McCarthy’s First Nation Activism

First Nations members deserve answers about how our community money is managed.

On November 20, 2025, I won my Federal Court case seeking access to Frog Lake First Nation trust-fund records. The court ordered Indigenous Services Canada to release the requested Band Council Resolutions, subject to privacy redactions.

For me, helping our people means standing up for transparency, asking questions, and following through. I believe accountability strengthens our communities and helps us make informed decisions about our future.

Thank you to everyone who supported this case. I remain committed to listening, speaking up, and working for openness and accountability. Trust is earned through actions.

Hans McCarthy’s First Nation Activism

A reminder for myself: take a breath and keep things in perspective.

There’s always another project to finish or another issue to speak up about. Looking at this photo reminds me to make time to pause and think about where I’m putting my energy.

I want to keep building and advocating for our people with a clear purpose—and a willingness to listen. Every conversation is a chance to learn something I can carry into my work.

What’s one life lesson you keep coming back to?
