Creatives like myself like exploring. We like to experiment. Sometimes that experimentation leads to using tools you don’t like. That’s fine. But let me figure out if I like this thing or not. Let me see if it’s useful or not. Let me figure this out for myself.

I’m tired of not posting because I’m afraid of what people are gonna think of me or say about me and the stupid assumptions they make without actually knowing my WHY. I would do it in private, but that feels both dishonest and inefficient. I’m here to SHOW you my work. Not put on a show or sell plugins or anything else. That’s the whole reason my channel was originally made. To show my process and my journey.

Im in a mode I haven’t been in, in literal decades. Yes decades. I haven’t feel this experimental and explorative since 2004 when I was coding my own MySpace profile. In case you are still oblivious, I’m speaking about AI.

Yes. I use it. No, I don’t use it how you THINK.
Yes, there are ways to use it that doesn’t replace you or erase you, or take your input out of the equation.
Yes I understand that is a hard concept to grasp because all you’re ever told or shown or think about is people just having it do EVERYTHING for them.

But guess what? IT DOESN’T NEED TO BE USED LIKE THAT. Lol.

I will show you exactly what I mean (if you decide to watch). Only folks who ACTUALLY listen and hear me out are gonna understand the case. Even if they themselves decide “nah fam, I’m not doing that.”

All this to say, I’m tired of hiding away because of a fear of rejection. F*** that. I’m exploring. If you wanna explore too, explore with me.

If not, I really do appreciate anyone who’s ever spent time watching even a second of my videos over the past 13 years and I understand if the explorations and experiments I’m doing now to figure out how AI can (genuinely) benefit me can turn you away or upset you.

I encourage you to find the audience you wish to be a part of (if that is no longer here with me). Honestly. Just as I know that in staying true to myself and doing the things I want to do, eventually the folks who resonate with the journey or the message will find me because they feel the same way I do. This does not mean i don’t produce or write my own music anymore, dont still play my own chords (I just got home from ny weekly gig an hour ago) or dont still value true musicianship.

I am not 100% for AI. I am not 100% against AI. I am somewhere in the middle with an understanding of both viewpoints and a decision to make on my own after I personally have done my own trial and error.

In other words, shut your brain off. Loosen up, stop thinking and just vomit out whatever unfiltered ideas come to you. LATER… you go back, analyze, and make your technical adjustments.
