Beyond The Framework is a weekly show hosted by Ratna Manjari Dash.
🎙️ The Podcast — long-form conversations with founders, operators, engineers, and people who took uncommon paths. Less "what did you achieve," more "how do you actually think."
🤖 AI, explained — what's genuinely changing, what's hype, and what it means for the work you do.
The best learning isn't on Google. It's in what people have lived — their decisions, their failures, and the reasoning behind both.

How much of the Ramayana we know actually comes from the Valmiki Ramayana? 🤔
In my conversation with author and researcher Ami Ganatra, we explored questions I had never really stopped to ask—Did Lakshman Rekha actually exist? Was Ram Setu built in five days? What did Shri Ram, Sita Mata and Lakshman eat during vanvas? And how did the Ramayana travel from oral tradition to the manuscripts we know today?
This conversation is not about questioning faith—it is about going deeper into the text behind the stories we have grown up with.

Beyond The Framework
Here’s a curiosity-driven YouTube Community post:
🇮🇳 India’s GDP: 7.8% or 2.6%? 🤯
India is being celebrated as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies. But if GDP is growing at 7.8%, why do inflation, jobs and everyday expenses tell a different story?
In EP37 of Beyond The Framework, economist Mitali Nikore helps us decode:
📊 7.8% GDP — what does it really mean?
💰 Why aren’t we feeling the growth?
👩 Why are so many women still outside the workforce?
🏙️ What actually makes a city liveable?
🇮🇳 And if she were a policymaker, what would she change?
The bigger question:
7.8% is real. But is India growing — or are Indians growing too?

DEEPFAKE: Do We Need Models Anymore? 🤖
What if the next model you see in an ad… doesn’t even exist?
With Deepfake and Generative AI becoming increasingly realistic, creating a face, expression, outfit or even an entire campaign digitally is becoming possible.
And that raises an uncomfortable question:
Will we still need human models in the future?
What about actors? Influencers? Brand ambassadors?
In this episode of Beyond The Framework, we go inside the world of Deepfakes:
👉 How does Deepfake technology actually work?
👉 Can we differentiate between real and fake?
👉 Could AI impact actors and the modeling industry?
👉 Are regulations keeping pace with the technology?
👉 What happens when we can no longer trust our own eyes?
Deepfake is no longer just about creating a funny face-swap.
It is challenging something much bigger — our ability to decide what is REAL.
Would you trust an advertisement if you knew the person in it never existed?

Monday to Friday: Corporate life.
Then comes the road, the mountains… and a completely different Amit.
But what makes someone keep choosing the unknown when life is already comfortable?
That question stayed with me after this conversation.
In EP35 of Beyond The Framework, I sat down with Amit Kumar — an Overlander and a Musafir at heart — to understand what really happens beyond those beautiful mountain pictures we see on social media.
We spoke about balancing a corporate career with travel, the real cost of overlanding, cooking on the road, budget travel, and why the pahaad keep calling him back.
But the conversation became much more interesting when we reached the side Instagram rarely shows.
The ruthless side of solo travel.
Loneliness. Uncertainty. Difficult roads. Unexpected situations. And moments when you have nobody but yourself to depend on.
Somewhere along the way, this stopped being a conversation about travel.
It became a conversation about freedom, choices, commitment and how a journey can quietly change the person you are.

Maybe being a Musafir isn’t about how far you travel.
Maybe it’s about how different you are when you return.
What does being a “Musafir” mean to you?

🎙️ “NO” MEANS NO! — But do we truly understand what that means at the workplace?
In EP34 of #BeyondTheFramework, I had an insightful conversation with Smt. Namrata Chadha about POSH, workplace harassment, consent, dignity and the boundaries we often hesitate to discuss openly.
We explore some uncomfortable but important questions:
👉 Is POSH gender biased?
👉 What qualifies as non-verbal harassment?
👉 What is quid pro quo — when a workplace favour comes with a price?
👉 Does POSH cover both organised and unorganised workplaces?
👉 What happens when the complainant is more powerful?
👉 And most importantly — do we really understand that “NO” means NO?
This conversation isn't only for HR professionals or women. It's relevant to employees, managers and leaders who want to build workplaces based on dignity, awareness and mutual respect.

🇮🇳🇨🇳 ARUNACHAL PAR INDIA CHUP KYUN?
Is China India’s competitor, trading partner—or its biggest strategic challenge?
In EP33 of Beyond The Framework, we go beyond the headlines to ask some uncomfortable but important questions about the India–China relationship.
What is really happening in Arunachal Pradesh? How strong is India’s historical position on Aksai Chin? Why does India appear so measured in its response to China? Did India misread China during the Tibet crisis? Why is our approach towards Pakistan so different from our approach towards China? And despite border tensions, why does India continue to remain heavily dependent on Chinese imports?
We also explore the bigger question: Could China become the world’s dominant superpower—and how prepared is India for that possibility?

This is not a conversation about choosing sides. It is about understanding strategy, history and the realities behind one of India’s most consequential relationships.

🎙️ “Achi Life Easy Nahin Hoti.”
This was one of the lines that stayed with me after my conversation with Simerjeet Singh — The Disruption Coach on the latest episode of Beyond The Framework.
Our conversation went beyond motivation. We spoke about self-disruption, starting from zero, understanding yourself, handling tough times, neuroplasticity, becoming agile instead of fragile, and finding where your inner compass is actually pointing.'
One thought I particularly loved:
A good life does not necessarily mean an easy life. Growth often begins when we are willing to disrupt ourselves.
And towards the end, Simerjeet leaves us with a simple but powerful question:
What promise are you willing to make to yourself?

**Your Body Is the Best Learner! 🧠🛡️**
This was my biggest takeaway from my conversation with **Medha Bhaskaran**, author of *The Story of Immunity*.
Here are my **5 key learnings**:
🔹 **Your body learns** — The immune system learns to recognize certain threats and prepares itself for future encounters.
🔹 **Your body remembers** — Immune memory can help it respond faster when it encounters the same pathogen again.
🔹 **Your body differentiates** — It constantly decides what belongs to us and what could potentially harm us. Sometimes, even this intelligent system can get it wrong.
🔹 **Your body works as a team** — Immunity isn't one organ. It is a coordinated network of different cells, tissues and organs.
🔹 **Immunity isn't simply about being “strong”** — What matters is having an immune system that responds appropriately and stays balanced.
My biggest realization from this conversation:
**We spend so much time teaching our minds how to learn, while our bodies have been learning, remembering and adapting all along.**
Thank you, **Medha Bhaskaran**, for this fascinating conversation on *Beyond The Framework*.

Can you really retire at 40? 🤔
Most people think retirement is about reaching a certain age.
But what if retirement is actually about financial freedom, peace of mind, and having the choice to work—not the compulsion?
In my latest conversation on Beyond The Framework, Seema Kakade Ahuja CFP, QPFP shares practical insights on:
✅ The 4 pillars of stress-free retirement
✅ Common financial mistakes people regret later
✅ Why women need a different retirement strategy
✅ How to start planning, no matter your age
Whether you're in your 20s, 30s, 40s, or beyond, this episode offers ideas that can help you make better financial decisions.

Beyond The Framework
Success is celebrated. Excellence is remembered.
This week on Beyond The Framework, I had the privilege of hosting Dr Manjari Priya Gupta, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Mrs. India Worldwide Winner, for a conversation that went far beyond titles and achievements.
We explored:
✨ Why chasing excellence is more powerful than chasing success.
💼 The hurdles, biases, and defining moments on her journey to becoming a COO.
👩💼 Why many women still feel they need to prove themselves more than others.
🏆 How she balanced leadership, confidence, and authenticity to excel in the corporate world while also earning the prestigious Mrs. India Worldwide crown.
One takeaway that stayed with me:
Excellence isn't an event. It's a habit built through consistency, resilience, and continuous learning.
If you're an aspiring leader, a young professional, or someone aiming for the C-suite, this conversation is packed with practical lessons and inspiration.
