Today during my devotional, Matthew 5:16 really hit my spirit:

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

I didn’t want to just read it and move on.

I started studying it and asking myself:

Why is this hitting me so strongly right now? And how do I actually apply it to my life TODAY?

Then another scripture came to mind:

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…” — James 1:22

And THAT was the connection.

Because we can read Scripture every day.
We can highlight it.
We can quote it.
We can say amen to it.

But eventually the question becomes:

What am I going to DO with what I just read?

For me, Matthew 5:16 made me think about my everyday interactions with people.

After the revival meetings we’ve had this week with Pastor Cody Jones, there has been such a stirring in me that I don’t want what I’m receiving from God to simply stay with me.

I want it to touch somebody else.

I want people I encounter to recognize that there is something different.

Not because I’m trying to draw attention to myself.

Matthew 5:16 tells us exactly where the glory should go:

“…and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

THAT is the purpose.

Our light shines so that people ultimately see Him.

And that immediately connects with what Jesus commanded:

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15

Sometimes we hear “go into all the world” and immediately picture another country.

But what about the world God already placed around you?

Your workplace.

Your family.

Your neighborhood.

The person sitting beside you.

The customer you interact with.

The stranger who crosses your path for five minutes.

You may already be standing in somebody’s mission field.

And I started thinking:

Lord, who can You use me to reach today?

Maybe somebody needs prayer.

Maybe somebody needs encouragement.

Maybe somebody needs to hear the Gospel.

Maybe somebody needs one Scripture.

Maybe the Holy Spirit will simply highlight somebody and say, “Talk to them.”

But I want my spirit sensitive enough to recognize it.

Because I don’t want to merely be a hearer of Matthew 5:16.

I want to walk it out.

So this is the prayer I’m praying, and I encourage you to pray it too:

Father, according to Matthew 5:16, let my light so shine before people today. Use me, Holy Spirit, in my words, in my actions, in my workplace, and everywhere You place me. Let Your presence be revealed through my life. Put someone in my path who needs what You have placed in me today, and keep me sensitive enough to recognize the opportunity when it comes. Give me boldness to obey when You prompt me. Let everything I do point people back to Jesus and bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You already carry the Holy Spirit.

You already have something inside of you that somebody else needs.

So instead of only asking:

“Lord, what are You going to do for me today?”

Maybe we should also start asking:

“Lord, who do You want to reach through me today?”

Let your light shine.

And then go be a doer of the Word. ❤️‍🔥

A little bit of my testimony — and an invitation for somebody who needs to hear this.

I don’t tell my testimony nearly as much as I probably should because there is so much to it. But this week an evangelist reminded us to never get tired of telling our testimony, and it made me think about how Jesus actually found me.

I grew up in church.

My dad was a pastor, so church was basically all I knew as a child. I went because that was simply what our family did — and honestly, because I didn’t have much of a choice. 😂

But as my siblings and I got older and my parents stopped forcing us to go, we stopped going.

And looking back, I understand something now that I didn’t understand then:

I grew up knowing church, but I didn’t really know Jesus for myself.

I still considered myself a Christian. If someone had asked me, I would have told them I was a Christian.

But I wasn’t living for Jesus.

Then during the COVID era, I found myself in a very dark place in my life.

I remember wondering what I was even doing with my life. I felt like nothing I was doing had real meaning. I knew I was searching for something, but I couldn’t have told you what it was.

I wasn’t intentionally searching for God.

But God knew exactly where I was.

There was an actor I followed from a television show I used to watch. Eventually I started noticing that he was posting about Jesus and talking about how his life had changed.

Because I still considered myself a Christian, it caught my attention.

Then he did an Instagram Live with an evangelist.

That was how I discovered this evangelist.

I followed him afterward, but let me make this clear — I did NOT immediately turn into somebody sitting around watching sermons every day. 😂

He would constantly go Live. I would get the notification. Sometimes I would click in, listen for a little bit and leave.

But one particular day, I stayed.

I remember wanting to click off, but something kept me there.

Looking back now, I believe the Holy Spirit was drawing me.

The evangelist began telling his testimony. He talked about who he had been before truly surrendering to Jesus — drinking, partying, sleeping around, doing all of these things while still calling himself a Christian.

And that is what got me.

Because suddenly I realized:

That is exactly what I’m doing.

I called myself a Christian because I believed in God and had grown up in church, but my life wasn’t surrendered to Him.

At the end of that Instagram Live, the evangelist gave an altar call.

And through a phone screen, sitting nowhere near a physical church altar, I gave my life back to Jesus.

After that, every time somebody gave another altar call, I would pray again. 😂

I didn’t understand yet that I didn’t have to keep “getting saved” every time. I simply knew that I wanted Jesus and wanted to make sure I belonged to Him.

And then something happened that I can only describe through Scripture.

Acts 9:18 says:

“And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith…”

That is what it felt like.

The light came on.

Things I had ignored suddenly became clear.

At the time, I was in a relationship, and red flags I had ignored suddenly became impossible for me not to see. Things that had seemed normal didn’t sit right with me anymore.

God began opening my eyes.

And ultimately, that led to me leaving that situation, moving out and beginning to rebuild my life.

Was everything perfect overnight? No.

But I wasn’t the same anymore.

My desires were changing.
My thinking was changing.
My decisions were changing.
My direction was changing.

And I became HUNGRY for God.

There was a church that I already knew about that was almost an hour away, and I started driving there because I wanted to be in that atmosphere.

I wanted the Word.

I wanted to learn everything I could.

I wanted the presence of God.

And when you become hungry enough for God, an hour doesn’t feel like much anymore.

So all these years later, I can tell you:

Giving my life to Jesus was the best decision I have ever made.

And now let me preach to somebody.

Maybe you are reading this and you think you’re too far gone.

You’re not.

Maybe you think you’ve messed up too badly.

You haven’t.

Maybe you’re facing something that looks completely impossible in the natural.

Luke 1:37 says:

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

There is no situation beyond God’s ability.

Maybe you need healing.

Maybe you’re believing God for a financial miracle.

Maybe you have a prodigal son or daughter and you’re believing for them to come home.

Maybe your marriage or family needs restoration.

Maybe you need direction.

Maybe you need freedom.

Maybe you simply need to give your life to Jesus.

Acts 10:34 says:

“Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”

God does not show partiality.

And what His grace has done in my life reminds me that nobody is beyond His reach.

1 Timothy 2:4 says He:

“will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

And Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6

Jesus is calling people to Himself.

And maybe you’re reading this because you need to answer that call.

This Sunday is SUPER SUNDAY at Revival Today Church, and I want to personally invite you.

📍 400 Corporation Dr., Aliquippa, PA 15001
🗓️ September 13
⏰ 10 AM ET

There is a move of God happening here.

There is fire here.

There is faith here.

The Word of God is being preached, lives are being changed, and people are coming expecting God to move.

So whatever you are believing God for — come expecting.

If you’re in Pittsburgh, get here.

If you’re outside Pittsburgh and you can make the trip, come.

Cars, trains, planes — whatever it takes. 😂

I know what it is to drive nearly an hour because I was hungry for God.

And I believe hunger matters.

Don’t stay home because you think your situation is hopeless.

Don’t stay away because you think you’ve gone too far.

Don’t decide beforehand that nothing can change.

Come believing God.

Come believing for healing.

Come believing for restoration.

Come believing for your family.

Come believing for provision.

Come believing that the same Jesus who saved me is still saving people today.

I can’t tell you beforehand exactly how God will meet every person who walks through those doors — but I CAN tell you what the Word says:

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

So come hungry.

Come in faith.

Come with expectation.

Come ready to receive the Word.

Jesus changed my life, and I want everybody I can possibly reach to know Him too.

Today I was studying Psalm 126:5–6, 2 Corinthians 9, and Ephesians 3:20, and I wanted to share what stood out to me.

Psalm 126 says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” That does not mean living in defeat. It means that sometimes obedience costs you something, and sometimes your seed is given with emotion, sacrifice, and deep faith. But if it is done in faith and obedience, the tears are not the end of the story — joy is.

Then in 2 Corinthians 9, Paul teaches that God loves a cheerful giver and that when we sow generously, God causes grace to abound toward us. That abundance is not just about survival — it points to overflow, provision, sufficiency, fruitfulness, generosity, and thanksgiving to God.

And Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

So the takeaway is this:
God is not a God of barely enough. He is a God of overflow.
If you are obeying Him, sowing in faith, trusting His Word, and standing in expectation, keep going.
The tears are not the conclusion. The harvest is.

⛏️ DIG ANOTHER WELL

One of the biggest takeaways from today’s message ‪@revivaltodaychurch‬ was this:

God is not looking for people who have everything figured out. He’s looking for people who will simply say “yes.”

So often we hesitate because we don’t feel qualified, we don’t have all the answers, or we can’t see the full picture. But throughout Scripture, God consistently uses ordinary people who choose obedience over comfort and faith over fear.

When God gives a vision, He also provides the grace, provision, and strength to accomplish it.

✨ God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.

Whatever God has been speaking to you about—take the next step.

Trust Him.
Obey Him.
Dig another well.

“And I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision…” — Acts 26:19

Lately I’ve been reflecting so much on faith and what it really means to trust God in every area of life.

It’s easy to trust God when everything is going well, but real faith is choosing to trust Him even when you can’t see the outcome yet.

One thing I’ve realized looking back over my life is that every time I tried to handle things in my own strength, it only led to stress, fear, overthinking, and frustration.

But even in seasons where I couldn’t see a way out… God always had one.

And I’m learning that faith isn’t pretending problems don’t exist.

Faith is acknowledging what’s happening in the natural while still choosing to believe what God says above what you currently see.

It’s saying:
“Lord, I see the situation, but I trust that You are greater than it. I trust Your Word over what I feel.”

📖 Proverbs 3:5–6 says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…”

📖 Hebrews 11:1 says:
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

📖 Romans 12:2 reminds us to constantly renew our minds with the Word of God.

And honestly, if I’m being transparent, there were so many times where my first response wasn’t running to God—it was trying to figure everything out myself.

But I’m learning that faith looks like going to God first instead of panic first.

So if you’re in a season where things feel uncertain or impossible, I want to encourage you:
God still has a plan.
God still has a way through it.
And He has not forgotten you.

Keep trusting Him—even before you see the breakthrough 🤍

I keep seeing this trend go around and honestly… I still don’t even know what it’s called 😂 but I kept seeing these life-as-a-cartoon caricature pictures and finally said, “okay, I want one too.”

So here’s mine 🥹✨

Also… why does my cartoon self have a ring on her finger? I don’t know if ChatGPT is trying to prophesy a future marriage or what, but I RECEIVE IT in Jesus’ name 😂💍

This morning during my devotional, I kept seeing the same theme echo back to me through scripture:

Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Job 28:28 (KJV)
“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

It didn’t just catch my eye — it hit my spirit.

So I asked ChatGPT:

“What does it truly mean when the Bible says, The fear of the Lord is wisdom?”

And this is how it was broken down to me:

⸝

What is “The Fear of the Lord”?

To fear the Lord doesn’t mean to be scared of God like He’s unpredictable or waiting to punish you.

It means to live with:
• deep reverence (honoring God as God)
• awe (being conscious of His greatness)
• respect (treating His Word as final authority)
• submission (choosing obedience even when it’s hard)
• love-driven obedience (because He is worthy of honor)

It’s the heart posture that says:

“God, Your Word weighs more than pressure. Your voice outweighs fear. Your way outweighs panic.”

⸝

How is that wisdom?

Because:
• You can’t make the wisest decisions until you submit to the wisest God
• Wisdom begins when God becomes your standard for choices, not circumstances or emotions
• Reverence anchors your heart
• Obedience anchors your steps
• Trust anchors your mind
• And Heaven authors your movement, not panic

⸝

Then came the part that hit me the strongest — the revelation that connected everything together:

To fear God is to TRUST God.
To trust God is to OBEY God.
To obey God is to WALK in wisdom.
You can’t separate the three.
That’s why the Bible says:
— Fear = wisdom
— Trust = peace
— Obedience = stability
— God = life-giver, way-maker, shepherd, rewarder of seekers
It’s all one ecosystem.

⸝

This truth didn’t just teach me something new — it taught me something anchoring.

You can’t walk forward with God while mentally running back to fear.
You can’t plan your steps in Heaven’s wisdom if panic authored the plan.
You can’t live anchored in His peace if something else keeps grabbing your trust.

So the Lord is inviting us into the better posture:
• Run to Him first
• Trust Him fully
• Obey Him steadily
• Walk in His wisdom, not pressure

Because true wisdom doesn’t start with understanding everything —
it starts with honoring the One who understands everything.

Encouragement for you

🙌🏾 If you’re seeking Him, He hasn’t left you.
If you’re trusting Him, you’re walking in wisdom.
If you’re obeying Him, your steps are secure.

Let pressure drive you into prayer.
Let prayer drive you into obedience.
Let obedience shape your decisions.
Let reverence anchor your heart.

Because God never forsakes a seeker, never fails the obedient, never rejects the repentant, never abandons the reaching, never leaves the surrendered, never ignores the calling, and never withholds wisdom from the one who comes to Him.

Let’s choose Him wholeheartedly. Daily. Continually. Because He is worthy. ♥️🥳
