Rajans secured a five-wicket victory over St. Benedict’s College at the Lakeview Grounds, Kandy.
St. Benedict’s were bowled out for 202/10 in 44.2 overs, before Rajans successfully chased down the target, reaching 203/5 in 45 overs.
Gaveesh Poorna anchored the chase with a composed 74 off 103 balls, while Shashith Bandara contributed a valuable 43 off 55 balls to guide Rajans towards victory.
Congratulations to the Vocal Ensemble of the Eastern Music Society of Dharmaraja College emerged as Overall 2nd Runners-Up in the Boys Group Singing (Open) category with their performance of “Ragadhari Khyal (Raag Miyan Ki Malhar)” at the All-Island Schools Music Competition.
Congratulations to the Orchestra of the Eastern Music Society of Dharmaraja College emerged as Overall Champions in the Boys Group Song Rendition (Open) category with their rendition of the classic track “Udumbara Hinahenawa” at the All-Island Schools Music Competition.
