❤️ In Loving Memory of Shane — Rest in Peace

It’s heartbreaking to hear that Shane has passed away. He was someone I got to know through my time on the streets of Croydon, supporting and feeding people in our community.

Whenever I was outside handing out food, Shane would come over to collect a meal. But it was never just about the food. He would take the time to stop, talk and have a conversation. He generally kept himself to himself, but behind the struggles was a human being with a personality, a story and things he loved.

Shane loved music and enjoyed DJing. Music was something that brought him happiness and gave him a way to express himself. I’ll remember those conversations, those moments and simply seeing him come by while we were serving the community.

Shane was also fighting battles that many people face quietly — addiction, hardship and trauma. These struggles should never define the whole person. Behind addiction there can be pain, loss and experiences that most of us will never fully understand. Sometimes what a person needs most is for somebody to see the human being before they see the struggle.

His passing is another painful reminder of why we cannot give up on vulnerable people in our communities. If somebody is struggling, please reach out. Accepting help can be the first step towards another chapter, and showing someone compassion, giving them a meal, having a conversation or simply listening can mean more than we realise.

Rest peacefully, Shane. 🕊️❤️

May the music you loved continue to play in your memory. You were seen. You were heard. You were part of our community, and you will be remembered.

RIP Shane. Gone but not forgotten. ❤️🙏🏾

If you’re struggling with addiction, homelessness or trauma, please know there are organisations and people who want to help. Reaching out could change your life.

"What’s up, everyone. First off, I just want to say a massive thank you to every single person who reached out after my last video. The comments, the messages, the prayers—it honestly means more than you know. Reading through your support while recovering has been a huge boost for me, so big up yourselves."

"To give you a quick update on where things stand physically: I'm taking it one day at a time. The pain is still there, and the arm is still locked in this cast. The doctors told me I need to keep it immobilised for six weeks before we see how the bone is healing, and my mouth is slowly getting there, though it’s still painful to eat and speak for long stretches. But mentally, I’m focused on healing up."

"Because I’m one-handed for the next few weeks, the heavy physical cooking and outdoor setups are on pause for a moment. But that doesn't mean Ringo Vision stops. While I recover, I’m still going to be jumping on here to connect with you guys—doing sit-down updates, planning the menu for the next season, and sharing what’s next for the community care packs once I’m back on my feet."

THANK YOU EVERYONE ❤️💛💚

While I was in Peckham, I met a lady named Rachel whose story really touched me. 💔

Rachel had been banned from her own community and somehow found herself in London, alone and facing the harsh reality of life on the streets. Behind the circumstances is a real person — someone who has been through so much, but is still fighting to survive.

Meeting her reminded me why we have to keep showing compassion. Sometimes people don’t need judgement; they need someone to stop, listen, offer support and remind them that they haven’t been forgotten.

Rachel is a survivor. ❤️ And I hope that by sharing her story, more people will understand that homelessness can happen to anyone. If you see someone struggling, don’t just walk past. A little kindness, a conversation or simply showing that you care can mean more than you realise.

Rachel, keep going. There are people out here who care about you and want to see you get through this. 🙏🏾❤️
