Getting a video to a million views is something I’ve wanted since I was a kid. I used to look at that little “1M” under other people’s videos and wonder what it would feel like to make something that reached that many people.

Now that it’s actually happened, weirdly, it’s made me think less about the number and more about the videos I want to make.

The Rainbow Fish was just an idea I couldn’t stop thinking about. I spent almost two months working on it, kept second guessing whether I should even post it, and then watched it turn into conversations between people I’ve never met. People agreed, disagreed, wrote essays in the comments, shared their own experiences, and somehow kept the conversation going way beyond anything I said in the video.

That means a lot to me.

I think I’m realizing more and more that I don’t just want to make videos that get views. I want to make things I’m proud of. Things that start conversations. Things that take something we’ve all seen before and make you look at it a little differently.

I’m still just figuring all of this out as I go. Most of these videos are still made by me sitting in my room, cramming editing session editing sessions before class.

So to see one of those ideas reach over a million people, to hit 25K, to get my first Super Chat, and to see a real community starting to form around Media Munchies… man.

Kid me would be losing his mind.

It's crazy to think that some of you have literally watched me grow up through these videos.

Thank you for every view, comment, joke, and conversation along the way. A lot of people where I come from never got the chance to make it this far, so I don't take any of this for granted.
