Quick update for those subbed to my Patreon: you may have been charged for August, but this was unintentional as I am still on hiatus and am not comfortable taking your money during this time.

Pledges will be fully processed within 12-24 hours, at which point I will start issuing refunds to everyone.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT: Refunds were issued last night, although they may take 5-7 business days to be sent out. Sorry again

still on hiatus but in the meantime I made a vocal stim compilation

(there’s no Eggman “I’ve come to make an announcement” in it like literally every other single vocal stim comp ever, I promise)

Due to mental health reasons, RemyRaccoon will be going on hiatus for a while. Patreon pledges have already been paused for March and will be paused for the duration of the hiatus.

I know my output has been pretty shit for… well, let’s be honest, it’s been shit for years lmao. But at the moment I simply cannot keep myself focused on creative work and I’ve been dealing with low energy and constant, debilitating headaches to the point that I need to force myself to take a break and, hopefully, seek help.

In the meantime I might try and work on my webnovel and my Clone Hero/YARG setlist, though even those has been a struggle lately. I will also continue playing through the Pokémon games and taking notes for the big Pokémon ranking video I announced in the previous post, since that’s just playing games and taking notes and if I don’t continue to work on that then it’s never coming out lmao

Thank you everyone for the support, as always! I really am sorry it’s come to this, since I’ve been struggling for so long to get the channel back up on its feet and I always seem to get tripped up when I find my groove again, but I need to do a better job at taking care of myself and this is the first step. I will be back as soon as I possibly can. Take care and keep manifesting the implosion of ICE <3

Hi!! Wanted to provide a general channel update but didn’t wanna make a whole ass video so here ya go lol (TL;DR at the bottom if you’re strapped for time, champion)

next video was due out on Halloween but a sudden hard drive failure and my complete incompetence in backing things up led to it being cancelled. Perhaps another time, Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights Re-Review :(
This did set me back quite a bit but I’m just about ready to step (sit) into the recording booth (two blankets thrown over some deck chairs) for the next video (it’s about seven different games! wow!!). What is it? Not telling! But perhaps it will all help us find our inner monster :]

now for the BIG thing: I wanna make a video in which I rank every Pokémon game. “Oh but that’s been done!” Sure, everyone and their dog has ranked the main series but how many have ranked *every* game in the franchise (and without just looking at Metacritic scores and not not playing the games? Yes, I’m throwing shade)? Including Legends, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, Colosseum, XD, Stadium, Picross, Trozei, Pokken, GO, Detective Pikachu, Cafe Mix, TCG etc etc? Currently, there are 92 games I consider eligible for the video, 96 if I decide to include PC games, more when they inevitably release. It’s a lot!

I started this project at the end of September, and as of writing I am about to start playing Silver, which means there’s a long-ass way to go before this video gets off the ground. In the meantime, not set in stone yet but I’ve been thinking about doing individual videos on the main series (including remakes and Legends), as well as some others such as Mystery Dungeon, to get a bit more out of this project aside from a single multi-hour video a few years down the line. Depends though, since writing videos about games everyone has already played to death is a challenge, but I think I have Cool and Neat Opinions so it should be fine (plus a lot of Pokémon retrospectives these days are chronological play-by-plays rather than typical, mildly comedic reviews like I do lol). Either way Pokémon has irreparably shaped my life since I was a young boy of 8 and it is about time I screamed about it.

This won’t stop me from talking about the usual racing games and platformers and whatever else and if anything those will be the focus while this Pokémon video will be worked on in the background. As some other ideas, I’ve been thinking about stuff like Scaler, Dr Muto, Test Drive Unlimited, Lost Odyssey, more themed videos (eg Licensed Racing Games) and maybe even finally some proper Ratchet & Clank reviews - we’ll see what happens :]

Also, probably doesn’t need to be said but no more Racclog. I’d rather spend what little energy I often have making stuff I’m actually proud of - those last two videos I made fit this for sure, but I look back at Racclog and go “eh.” I did try adopting it into a written format (you can read these over at racclog.blogspot.com/ if you like) but I’m not sure if I’ll continue that just yet.

Anyway, TL;DR
* Halloween video exploded. Next video soon! It’s a themed multi-game video :O
* BIG POKÉMON RANKING VIDEO in the works but that will take a while so I might make smaller Pokémon videos in the meantime?
* Other potential plans: Scaler, Dr Muto, Lost Odyssey, Test Drive Unlimited, Licensed Racing Games, Ratchet & Clank??
* Racclog is ded soz

Thank you for the patience while I work stuff out, it means a lot and I hope y’all like what I have cooking :>

hey just wanted to apologize for the lack of videos over the past year. I could go on about why but I'd sound like a broken record lol

that said, the next video (ModNation Racers) is about 80-90% done! One last section to edit, and I gotta draw a couple of things for a short skit and we're all good :O
after that, now that I've sorta found my groove again, I want to start doing videos on games I've always wanted to talk about on the channel but never got around to - stuff like The Simpsons Hit & Run, Scaler, Spyro, some kinda Burnout retrospective or ranking etc etc, as well as some themed videos like, I dunno, Forgotten 3D Platformers or My Favourite 7/10 games or somethin. I'd also love to make new Ratchet & Clank videos - give each one its own 20 to 30 minute video that isn't tainted by a sin counter lol

If I can finally break free from being stuck around 31k subscribers as I have been for like, half a decade, that'd be pretty cool and neat. But I gotta actually make videos to do that I guess lmao
regardless thank you all for being patient !!

Quick post: I felt it was too late to make a top 10 of 2024 video (notice the last few were posted super late and didn’t do well lol) so instead I’ve written it as a blog post! Although it’s actually a top 24 because I’m weird and silly. Check it out here:

Part 1 (#24 to #11): racclog.blogspot.com/2025/01/remys-top-24-of-2024-…

Part 2 (#10 to #1): racclog.blogspot.com/2025/02/remys-top-24-of-2024-…

Racclog has honestly interfered with the way I make videos I think, so I’m considering turning Racclog into a written format while my effort spent on videos can be saved for bigger topics and more editing. If I continue with the written format, it’ll likely end up with its own website instead of hosting on Blogger, but I’m gonna stay with it a bit just to test the waters.

Also, blah blah blah new videos blah blah blah sorry yada yada. Hey good news if you like Sonic and/or Burnout though :O

I wanna talk about more platformers (like I originally wanted to when I started the channel). Would I be crucified for making a review on Sonic Adventure (as a first timer) or has the Sonic fandom finally settled down

Edit: this was more of a “would you guys be interested” post and less a “I’m terrified of the Sonic fandom” post (I’m not) (I think getting angry people and backseat gamers in my comments is funny)
