Led Zeppelin III is the third studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 5 October 1970. It was recorded in three locations. Much of the work was done at Headley Grange, a country house, using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. Additional sessions were held at Island Studios and Olympic Studios in London. As with the prior album, the band eschewed the use of guest musicians, with all music performed by band members Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page (guitars), John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards), and John Bonham (drums). The range of instruments played by the band was greatly enhanced on this album, with Jones especially emerging as a multi-instrumentalist, playing a wide range of keyboard and stringed instruments, including various synthesizers, mandolin and double bass, in addition to his usual bass guitar. As with prior albums, Page served as producer on the album, with mixing done by Andy Johns and Terry Manning.

Run Devil Run is the twelfth solo studio album by the English musician Paul McCartney, released in 1999. It features mostly covers of both familiar and obscure 1950s rock and roll songs, along with three original McCartney compositions written in the same style, making it his second covers album after CHOBA B CCCP. As his first project following first wife Linda's death in 1998, McCartney felt the need to get back to his roots and perform some of the music he loved as a teenager. On 14 December 1999, McCartney returned to the Cavern Club where he used to play in the early days with the Beatles, to perform the album almost in its entirety.

Diamond Head – Lightning to the Nations

Released independently on this exact day, this is one of the most influential albums in heavy metal history. As a cornerstone of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), its aggressive riffs and intricate structures completely laid the groundwork for the 1980s thrash metal movement. If it sounds familiar, it's because Metallica famously covered four of its tracks: "Am I Evil?", "Helpless", "The Prince", and "Sucking My Love".
