​I wanted to share a wonderful update about our little Tuxedo kitten that I rescued from the street about 20 days ago.
​As I mentioned in my previous post, she was struggling with Feline Herpes Virus (FHV-1). When I first brought her home, she was so weak, skinny, and her eye was constantly draining pus. Unfortunately, she completely lost her vision in that eye due to the virus. But thankfully, because we started medication immediately, we managed to stop the infection before it could spread to her other eye.
​On the 14th day of treatment, she was examined by our veterinarian, and we got the best news! Her treatment is officially over, so no more daily meds or eyedrops. Her healthy eye is doing great and is completely out of danger. We had previously discussed possible surgery to clean up the damaged tissue in her blind eye, but since the infection cleared up so well and almost no tissue was left, the vet said surgery isn't needed at all.
​She has gained so much weight, recovered her strength, and is doing amazingly well. After staying with me for a bit longer to fully build up her energy, I’ll be releasing her back to her territory at the park. I feel completely at ease about it because the park has shelters, and kind people feed the cats daily. Plus, since I’m always around, I’ll keep checking on her all the time.

​As I shared previously, the tiny kitten we rescued from the street was diagnosed with Feline Herpes Virus (FHV-1). Unfortunately, this virus caused severe damage to our little Tuxedo kitten’s eye, and she lost her vision in that eye.
​Her treatment process is ongoing; I give her her medications regularly every day, and today she is looking much better. If I hadn’t intervened in time, the infection would have spread to her other eye, rendering it completely unusable as well. Thankfully, with timely treatment, we were able to save her remaining eye.
​On the 14th day of treatment, I will take her back to the vet. To prevent the infection from recurring, our veterinarian will examine her and decide whether to surgically remove the remaining damaged tissue in her eye.
​Other than her eye, her overall health is very good she is cheerfully playing, running around, and eating well. Although she is a bit thin right now, she will gain weight and recover fully with proper nutrition.

​As you know, I found this tiny cat on the street a few days ago. She had a very severe eye infection, and yesterday I took her to the vet without delay.
​Our veterinarian stated that she has contracted Feline Herpes Virus (FHV-1). This virus has caused severe damage to her cornea. Right now, it's not entirely clear whether we will be able to save her eye or not; the vet will examine her again and make a decision during our check-up in 14 days. However, unfortunately, there is a high chance that her eye cannot be saved.
​We have started her treatment at home with the medications prescribed by the vet, without interruption. For 14 days, we will give her medications on time to suppress the infection and swelling in her eye. During the check-up in 14 days, her condition will be re-evaluated. If saving the eye isn't possible and the infection is fully cleared, the damaged eye will be surgically removed.
​I will keep sharing updates about her condition and progress with you throughout the process.

Hello dear friends.Today I spent my day looking for a vet for our tiny kitten and found a great clinic near my area. It's a comprehensive clinic equipped with everything needed for all kinds of treatments and surgeries. I took our kitten there today, but unfortunately, it was already closed for the evening, so I couldn't make it in time.
​Overall, our kitten is doing very well. Eating, drinking, and sleeping are all fine, and the general condition seems healthy. However, the eye is severely swollen. It got a bit worse than yesterday, with serious inflammation and discharge, as you can see in the photos. I was late today, but first thing tomorrow morning, I will take it to the vet.

Hello dear friends! Since I have been in the moving process for the last two months, I couldn't take care of the cats as much as I wanted. However, as of today, we are continuing the treatment of sick cats right where we left off. Today, I came across this kitten you see in the photos. Her left eye is severely damaged; I couldn't quite tell whether it is an injury or an infection, but she is at risk of losing her eye. Since I recently moved, I don't know the local veterinarians around here yet, and I only want to go to someone reliable who does her job properly, just like my old vets. I am researching clinics today, and as soon as I find the right place, we will start her treatment tomorrow. Right now, she is staying in my garden together with our Angry White Cat. I am able to carry out all these treatment processes thanks to you, because it is impossible for me to cover the clinic costs on my own. ​I haven’t been able to take care of our sick and vulnerable cats for a while due to a long and exhausting moving process. As you know, I used to take the injured and sick strays I found to the vet, help them heal, and share this whole journey with you. After this unavoidable break, I’m back to rescuing, treating, and healing street cats once again.
​I’ve rented a house with a small garden. This means I can now host several cats at the same time much more comfortably, making their care and recovery so much easier.

​As you know, this beautiful cat was extremely fertile, giving birth three times a year. I had made the decision to spay her both for her own health and because her kittens had to grow up facing incredibly harsh conditions on the streets. It was during this time that I reached out to you for support.
​However, because she had a very severe infection in her body, we couldn't perform the spaying surgery right away. She stayed as an inpatient at the clinic for an entire month, and we waited patiently for her to recover. Finally, she overcame the infection, and her surgery was carried out safely and successfully. She was discharged from the clinic just two days ago.

​Today I visited our lovely ear tipped mother cat at the clinic. She is currently staying there as a guest. She is doing well, and once she fully recovers in about 1 or 2 days, she will have her spaying surgery.
​Today, I took care of her clinic bills. Thanks to your amazing response to my call for help, we raised a total of $450 (20,475 TL). From this support, I have already paid 16,000 TL ($351.64) to cover all of her medical and boarding expenses until she is ready to be discharged. If any additional costs come up after her treatment, I will take care of them and keep you all updated.

​Hello Dear Friends,
​We brought the ear tipped mother cat, whom I previously shared with you and asked for your support to get spayed, to the vet yesterday for her surgery.
​However, during the check up, they found that she has a very high fever and an infection in her body, so we couldn't proceed with the spaying surgery. She will need to stay hospitalized at the clinic for a few days.
​Here is the plan: She will stay at the vet for about 5 days to complete her infection treatment. After that, she will have her spaying surgery and will stay at the clinic for another 3 days for recovery. Once the whole process is done, I will take her back to her own area.

Hello dear friends,
​The beautiful mother cat in the photo gives birth at least three times a year. Even though she is very young, this cycle has taken a heavy toll on her health, and unfortunately, most of her kittens don't survive on the streets.
​We are currently keeping her latest litter safe on our balcony until we find them homes. However, we have an urgent situation: she has already gone into heat again, even though her kittens aren't even 2 months old. If she goes outside, she will become pregnant immediately. We urgently need to have her spayed to break this endless cycle.
​Since I am already caring for the "Angry White Cat" at home, I cannot bring this mother cat inside for her recovery. She must stay at the veterinary clinic until she fully heals, which means extra boarding fees that are hard for me to cover alone. If I can move to a larger house in the future, our angry girl will be comfortable and I'll be able to foster other cats, but right now, the clinic is her only option.
