LOLO’S RELATIONSHIP SERIES

Topic : The Porcupines In Winter

“Sometimes, the person you need warmth from is also the person who can hurt you".

During a freezing winter, a group of porcupines huddled together for warmth.
But whenever they moved too close, their sharp quills hurt one another.
So they separated.

The cold became unbearable.
They came together again.
The pain returned.
Eventually, they learned something important:

They didn't need to be so close that they wounded each other, and they didn't need to be so far apart that they froze.
They needed healthy distance.

That lesson applies to relationships too.

Love does not mean having no boundaries.
You can love someone deeply and still say,
“Please don't speak to me that way.”
You can care about someone and still protect your peace.
You can stay committed without accepting repeated disrespect.

Healthy relationships are not built by two people constantly hurting each other and calling it love.
They are built when two people learn how to come close without destroying one another.

Love needs warmth.
But love also needs boundaries, respect, communication and emotional safety.
The goal isn't to become so close that you lose yourself.
The goal is to become close enough to love—and wise enough not to wound.

❤️ LOLO’S HEART NOTE:
Dear one, love should give you warmth, not leave you constantly bleeding. Protect the relationship, but don't forget to protect the people inside it—including yourself.

"Healthy love begins with healthy hearts. Choose love that brings peace, respect, and growth."Real Relationships. Real Lessons. Real Healing."

What boundary do you believe every healthy relationship should have?

LOLO’S RELATIONSHIP SERIES

Topic : THE SILENT PHONE

“Sometimes, the silence of a phone speaks louder than its ringing.”

A couple had been married for years.
At the beginning of their relationship, the husband's phone was always full of conversations.
He shared funny things with his wife. He called her during the day. He told her about his worries, his plans and even the little things that happened at work.

But gradually, something changed.
His phone became strangely quiet whenever she entered the room.
He no longer shared his thoughts.
He stopped telling her about his day.
They could sit beside each other for an entire evening without having a meaningful conversation.

One night, his wife looked at the silent phone on the table and realized something painful:

The problem wasn't that the phone had stopped ringing.
The problem was that communication between them had stopped.

She finally said, “I don't want to know who is calling you. I want to understand why you no longer feel the need to talk to me.”

That question opened a conversation they had been avoiding for months.
They discovered that resentment had been quietly growing between them.

Neither had stopped loving the other completely.
They had simply stopped reaching for each other.

A relationship doesn't always break because of one dramatic event.
Sometimes, distance grows quietly.
The conversations become shorter.
The questions disappear.
The laughter becomes rare.
The emotional check-ins stop.
And eventually, two people who sleep in the same room begin living separate emotional lives.

Don't wait until silence becomes normal before asking what happened.

Talk. Ask. Listen.
And when something is wrong, don't use silence as punishment.

LOLO'S HEART NOTE ❤️
Love needs communication.
Don't just share a home with someone. Keep finding your way back to each other's hearts.
"Healthy love begins with healthy hearts. Choose love that brings peace, respect, and growth."Real Relationships. Real Lessons. Real Healing."

Now tell me, what do you think hurts a relationship more: constant arguments or complete silence?
