So, *FIRST PENGUIN* has finally arrived in Master Duel, which means most of our WATER decks just got a massive buff—including Icejade, Merlantean, Ice Barrier, and more~ 🐧

I feel so dumb for not realizing this sooner lol. Even though I’ve been grinding the Fusion Festival all week, I honestly thought only the icon made it to Master Duel (which I instant-bought, of course). When I checked the newest pack, it wasn't there, so I just assumed the card wasn't added yet .-. Real life has also been pretty hectic lately, so I really want to apologize for not uploading new videos recently! 🙏

To wrap things up, I wanted to share some of the best First Penguin lists you can try out for Merlantean. Basically, it can search Dragoons by revealing Repetiteur, or grab Icejade Ran & Abyssteus by revealing Graydle Dragon. It’s also generally great for baiting out Ash!

I’ll be testing it out in-game and dropping some videos very soon. Hope you guys enjoy them~ 🎬

✨ Welcome back, fellow water deck enjoyers! 🌊

As promised, here is Part 2 of my Master 1 climb using Mermail/Atlantean! In this video, I'm showcasing the rest of the grind and how the deck navigates against a wider variety of matchups outside of the Kewl Tune game from Part 1.

📌 Quick Note: This gameplay was recorded during last month's Season 53 meta. However, the combos, decision-making, and overall strategies shown are still representative and applicable to the current season!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I FINALLY HIT MASTER 1 this season playing Mermail/Atlantean!! The climb was pretty grindy going up against all sorts of decks, but I'm very happy about it!! Hope you guys also make the push to Master this season! 💪

Hico Master Duel

✨Hi fellow water-deck enjoyers!, how's everyone doing?

So, I managed to hit Master rank about a week ago, and I wanted to share my decklist with you guys.
Overall, it's been a really tough season, especially when going 2nd. Every deck is just too hard to deal with if you don't open with the right handtraps, so the coin toss matters a lot. My overall win rate is sitting at around ~60% (12/20).

Even so, Merlantean can still reach Master 1 if you have enough time to grind (and patience too :v)~ Going 1st with this deck is still incredibly strong with the hand rips and the water lock with the statue. Huge shoutout to *Dave*, *McStylish*, and *JacksonBlew* for hitting the highest rank this season (I'll share their lists below as well)

The *NEW* best generic Water starter, The First Penguin, has been out in the TCG & OCG for a while now, and it's a game-changer!

This card provides a competitive boost to Icejade, Merlantean, Ice Barrier, and Ghoti; basically any Water deck. Hopefully, it goes live in Master Duel soon, likely around June or July this year (or maybe even sooner? Who knows! xd)

How are you all doing?
Many of you recommended that I play Crystron, and here are the results of my pack pulls from a few days ago.
This time, Konami is being generous; it seems like I was meant to play it.🧐😅

So I tried this deck, combined it with Icejade, and it's incredibly strong! Ranked games up to Diamond 2 went smoothly, and if you check the masterduelmeta, this deck is very strong for reaching M1.

Hico Master Duel

✨Hii everyone!!

The end of Season 41 is just around the corner — where are you currently at?🌊

I've already reached Diamond 1. Initially, I used Atlantean x Icejade all the way to Diamond 2 (since I wanted to bring Icejade to Master 😅), and it was fairly straightforward up to Diamond 2. After Diamond 2, it started to get challenging because top-tier decks became more common, so I switched to a pure Mermail-Atlantean deck, and that's where I am now.

With the time remaining, it seems unlikely I'll reach M1, but M5 is still very achievable.
That said, this Mermail-Atlantean decklist is quite competitive and can definitely reach M1 if you try it. So I'll share it here with you guys.

The decklist I use refers to Edward's list on masterduelmeta because I like it and it suits my playstyle, but with a few changes. You can check it out here
