A hospital says it has performed many surgeries. How many of those were the operation you need?
Before choosing treatment in India, ask what that total signifies -
Is it one doctor's total?
One team's?
One hospital's?
Or several hospitals combined?

Save this for your hospital discussion.
Share it with someone exploring surgery in India.

Two medical opinions can lead to different recommendations. What should an international patient compare before choosing a path?
Review the information each clinician used, the reasoning, expected benefits and risks, reasonable alternatives, remaining uncertainty, and what could change the recommendation.
A difference alone does not prove dishonesty or incompetence - and it does not mean every opinion is equally well-supported.
TreatAtlas helps patients organise information and connect with hospital teams while exploring healthcare in India. We do not interpret clinical opinions or select treatment plans.

A scan report and the original image study are not the same file.
Medical images are commonly stored in DICOM format, while the radiologist's report records findings and interpretation in writing. Depending on the case, a hospital reviewing an international patient's records may ask for the report, the original images, or both.
Before sharing:
- Ask which format and upload route the hospital accepts.
- Test the link and permissions.
- Check when access expires.
- Do not replace original files with screenshots, phone photos or converted copies unless asked.
The receiving clinical team decides whether the material is sufficient and whether more imaging is needed.
TreatAtlas helps international patients connect with selected Indian hospitals. It does not interpret scans or provide medical advice.
