I had leftover dough, so I made a butt Mooncake! 🍑😄 In Cantonese slang 八月十五 (baat yuert sup umm) 15th day of the 8th month means… “BUTT” because it’s the date of mid-autumn festival on the lunar calendar where the moon is at its’ fullest and roundest like your booty! 🌕😆

Thank you all for voting what Mooncakes you liked! I took your input and created a new Mooncake for this mid-autumn festival. Behold… Cantonese Beef Wellington Mooncakes!

Instead of a mushroom duxelle, I covered the beef tenderloin with homemade XO sauce and wrapped it with prosciutto and the classic Cantonese Mooncake pastry. Every bite is an umami bomb packed with flavahhh!

In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), hawthorn berries help more than just digestion, they’re also known for invigorating blood and breaking up blood stasis. When blood is stagnant, it can cause menstrual cramps and poor circulation.

Hawthorn alone is already powerful but when it’s combined with goji berries, you have a harmonious powerhouse. Goji berries are known to nourish the liver & kidney yin which builds blood. Hawthorn moves blood; goji builds it. TCM often combines them since deficiency and stagnation are linked ~ you need enough blood AND free-flowing blood for optimal health.

Improve digestion with “Hawthorn & Goji Berry Tea!” 🍵 youtube.com/shorts/MOB67HYu1w...

If you had a big heavy meal, this tea is perfect for you. Hawthorn aka (Shan Zha) is a fruit + TCM herb known for breaking down heavy, greasy foods. They’re great for boosting digestion and are super tart like cranberries.
