I might make a few more sketches so I have more to choose from, but we’ll see. Man... choosing a cover is soooo anxiety-inducing 💀 There are just so many directions the cover could go and so many tiny decisions that can completely change the vibe.
Right now my favorite is the one with pistols.
Currently, chapter 1 is damn nearly finished! Woo!!!! 🎉
Now... time to make chapter 2 😭 I really need to have at least a one-chapter buffer for Arson X.
Luckily, Chapter 2 is only 20 pages instead of 84 like Chapter 1, so I should be able to finish it way faster. My goal this time around is to see if I can manage one page a day. That'd be pretty sick.
RAHHH!!! I'm officially 90% done with my manga Arson X!! 🔥 + Here's a quick update on what I've been working on:
1. Chapter 1 is finally in the shading stage! This is honestly surreal. I've put 1,600+ hours into Chapter 1, and after all that time I'm finally nearing the finish line. Seeing it come together has been insanely rewarding.
2. I'm really happy with how Arson X turned out. I genuinely think I nailed the dialogue and the fights. The whole series has this chaotic, high-energy vibe that feels like Dandadan mixed with assassin battles!
I seriously can't wait for you all to read Arson X.

If your more curious about the process of creating Arson X, basically I learned from the catastrophe of my last manga project where I edited the script a total of 0 times and spent all my time editing the storyboard. 😅
This time, I edited the script 14 times before going into the storyboard, and even once I hit the storyboard, if I found a problem, I stopped storyboarding and went back to the script. So the script's been revised over 25 times 💀
Arson X's first chapter should be a great read :)

If you're curious about the story, it's very similar to Dandadan. So you can expect lots of sibling banter and fast paced chaos. Also I plan to have lots of tag-team 2v2 fights. Most assassins in my world have either a duo or a wacky sentient blade.
Some of my favorite fights are when Yuji and Todo team up, or when Isagi and Bachira team up and so I wanted to recreate that experience.
The premise is Miyuna and Mikah's eight sisters have been stolen and split across the underground cities of Hollow Earth, and Miyuna and Mikah are on a journey for all ten of them to make it back home.
