I’m from St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands raised in the U.S., and my parents and grandparents are from St. Kitts and Nevis. I started Island Revolts to research and share island history with my kids and family, and it’s amazing to see it connect with so many like-minded people. My family is spread across the Caribbean, speaking different languages just like many of you, and my goal is to continue bringing accurate history to you in a fun and engaging way.

Help me settle a Haitian Occupation vs Unification debate.
I’ve read the letters Boyer and Núñez exchanged at the time, but later retellings seem to blur intent and outcome. I’m trying to understand how much of what we call history is perspective and how much was rewritten afterward.
