The Freestyle Channel
Doing club shows plays a major role in connecting with fans.
With 80's and 90's Freestyle artists were promoting their singles at clubs and connecting with the audience, converting them into fans one show at a time.
Today anyone and everyone could make a song and flood Spotify with songs.
Hell, today you don't even need a songwriter, producer or even the artist with AI.
What will set you apart will be your show. Invest time into your performance, your choreography, your outfit. In fact it is also harder than ever to get the opportunity to perform a song at a club these days unless you're already poppin' with your career so having a solid preference will go a long way.
The good news is that you don't need radio anymore and most people carry their favorite streaming service in their pocket, even at the club. So that is your opportunity to gain fans and streams.

Hip Hop and R&B lose market share, while Dance Music and Electronic Music see jump.
To be fair Hip Hop is dance music too. Although today most people don't think Hip Hop when they hear a dance beat.
