DEEJAY FAMILY - The Missing DJ Extendeds

There’s one thing that pretty much all professional working DJs have in common: They are looking for mixable edits of songs, so they can provide seamless, danceable music performances without any breaks. As being DJs ourselves for more than 25 years, over and over we had problems in finding simple but well made, dj-friendly edits of hundreds or maybe even thousands of great classic tunes – just because of one simple reason: There aren't any.

Especially in the 70s, 80s and 90s, many songs have been released as single or radio edits only. They didn't contain any solo beats that anyone could have made mixable extendeds of easily without adding inappropriate beats and stuff like that. Though, in the 80s extended versions have become more and more common, often, these were complete nonsense and way too experimental.

This here is not about pimped, modern style remixes, fresh sounds and so on (regarding this, there are tons of cool stuff out there already). It's all about fully mixable original extended edits, nothing else. Original speed, original instrumentation, original artists and so on. No crazy editing. No annoying sampling. Intended for partys, where you want to play the originals - just made mixable.

Key facts:

a) No additional drums, loops or anything that wasn't part of the original songs already. Keeping the original feel, flow and mood of the songs will have priority over all. Beats, samples and all other stuff used will be extracted from the original songs only. State of the art production processes will make this possible for the very first time ever in many cases.

b) No added hype samples, that have nothing to do with the original songs themselves.

c) All over continuous speed correction if the original songs are varying in tempo (especially with old classics from the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s). No timing issues any more.

d) Mix- in and out parts of 8 or 16 bars.

e) All genres. All styles. All decades.
