People hire me to train their dog. That is not what I do.

The goal is to train the human, so the human asks for the right energy. Ask for that, and the dog already knows the philosophy behind it and already knows what to do. You do not have to teach the second part.

Today, before you ask your dog for anything, check what you are bringing into the room. That is the only half of this you control.

No necesitas enseñarle esa segunda parte.

Loving your dog isn't about humanizing them or treating them like a baby. It is about fulfilling their species-specific needs: guidance, structure, purposeful movement, and natural exploration.
Following a calm, reliable leader is the single most fulfilling experience for a pack animal.
Fulfill their natural psychological requirements first, and behavioral balance will naturally follow.

I am not interested in controlling everything a dog does. I am interested in one thing: can I stop her from a distance when it matters.

She picks up something off the ground. I make a sound. She leaves it. That is not obedience, that is safety, and one day it will be the difference between a normal walk and an emergency.

Pick one sound. Use it only for this. Practise it in your kitchen today, long before you need it on a street.

Animals give off subtle shifts in body language and energy long before a behavioral eruption occurs. By taking the time to truly study dog psychology, we shift from reacting to behavior to accurately predicting it.

A dog came to us built like a weightlifter in the chest and shaky in the back legs. Four years old.

That is what a lifetime of pulling forward on a leash does. She only ever learned one direction, and her body grew around it. Now we have to go slowly, because pushing her too hard could hurt a knee.

Pulling is not only a walking problem. It is a physical bill that arrives years later. Fix the walk while your dog is young enough that it costs nothing.

People ask me how long until it is permanent. There is no number. Permanent is not a date, it is a count.

Every hour a dog spends in good energy, good philosophy and good actions is one more repetition. The more of those she stacks up, the more permanent the new dog becomes. Miss them and the old dog comes back.

You do not need an hour today. You need the same five minutes you did yesterday.

To become a better leader for your dog and a more grounded human in your daily life, keep your approach natural, simple, and profound.
Trust your spirit, honor your instincts, lead with a open heart, and use your mind to establish clarity. When you live in alignment, harmony follows naturally.
Lead by example every single day.

I can rehabilitate a dog at the ranch in two weeks. Then she goes home to four people who all do something different, and in a month she is confused again.

Agreement, commitment, follow through. The whole family has to run the same energy and the same philosophy, or the dog is being taught four things at once.

Today, pick one rule and get everyone in the house to agree on it out loud. One rule that everybody keeps beats ten that only you keep.

A new dog joins the pack and stays at a distance. People tell me their dog is not social, that something is wrong with her.

Nothing is wrong. She is waiting to be invited. In her world that distance is respect, and respect is what social actually means.

When I walk into your home, I do not take the front of your family. I take the back and wait. Your dog is doing the same thing. Let her.

Sometimes we overcomplicate dog ownership with too many gadgets, rules, or trends. At the end of the day, nature keeps things sweet and simple.

Your dog just wants to know that they are safe with you, that your home is a peaceful pack, and that they are loved. Focus on those three, and everything else will follow! ✨
