Fallout 4 Forever ⚛️
When I first booted up Fallout 4 in 2020, a beginner’s guide promised hundreds of hours of gameplay. I thought, "If I get 100 hours out of this, I’ll be thrilled."
Fast-forward 6 years and 6,700 hours later—it isn't just my favorite Fallout game; it’s my favorite game of all time.
Bethesda really delivered for Fallout Day 2026! The new creations bring so much to the table: from the free "Fever Dreams" to the well-priced "Command Override" (500 credits), both offer top-tier polish with fresh weapons, armor, playstyles, and settlement items.
I’m currently still diving through these new achievement-friendly creations, but in the meantime: Thank you, Bethesda! ❤️

Hey everyone! 👋
I recently came across a brand new site called The Film HQ (www.thefilmhq.com/) (thefilmhq.com/) dedicated to general coverage of movies and television.
They’ve just dropped their very first edition, and I really enjoyed what I read! If you're always looking for new places to get very well presented takes and insights on films and TV shows, definitely check them out as they get started on this new journey.

Why I love Fallout 4?
Over 6600 hours in Fallout 4 isn't just about playing a game—it's about treating the Commonwealth as an infinite cinematic sandbox driven by a phenomenal gameplay , crafting and settlement building system that fuels its extraordinary, unmatched Replayability.
The journey started simply with a standard Rifleman build, which eventually led to systematically experimenting with every single character class and build—from high-impact V.A.T.S. Blitz-teleporting melee powerhouses to rapid-leveling setups—and discovering that once you become a veteran, the true, rewarding beauty of the game unlocks in Survival mode.
What keeps this wasteland endlessly captivating across thousands of hours comes down to a rich web of mechanics and creativity:
- Companions, Romance & Cinematic Roleplay: Enjoying deep personal connections through the game's romance-able companions alongside staging massive lore-bending crossovers—whether that's General Lee Oliver leading an NCR, Minutemen, and Enclave power armor alliance, or bringing the Fallout TV show crew to life right in Boston.
- Architectural World-Building & Creations: Transforming raw survival spaces into thriving ecosystems—like turning Spectacle Island into the ultimate Minutemen settlement —continually supercharged by achievement-friendly Creations that constantly inject fresh content, weapons, armor, and settlement items.
- The Ultimate Expansions & Quests: Experiencing the absolute best the game's add-ons have to offer, crowning Far Harbor as the ultimate narrative DLC while treating Nuka-World's "Open Season" quest as the most fun, chaotic sandbox purge in the entire game.
- Endless, Rewarding Exploration: Immersing yourself in a world where exploration remains genuinely engaging, constantly uncovering hidden environmental storytelling, secret locations, and fresh horizons.
When you stack deep modular crafting, robust gameplay mechanics, fluid character progression, settlement building and total sandbox freedom, every layer compounds to create an experience where no two playthroughs are ever alike—explaining precisely why thousands of hours in the wasteland still feel brand new.

This is what an all-around superstar looks like. I saw the game on WNBA Prime subscription and they showed her also signing autographs at the beginning of the game and the faces of the fans were priceless and this was away from Indiana lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q836...

Regarding the news of Obsidian potentially taking over the Fallout franchise:
My initial reaction was reminiscent of when Fallout: New Vegas was announced. Back then, Bethesda was focused on developing Skyrim and didn't have the resources to produce a new Fallout title to follow up on the success of Fallout 3. They outsourced the project to Obsidian, who did a fantastic job given the time constraints. Ultimately, Bethesda published Skyrim and returned to the Fallout series to produce my favorite game of all time, Fallout 4. Because that arrangement previously resulted in such high-quality experiences, I am once again optimistic about Obsidian stepping into a similar provisional role. I still believe Bethesda is best suited to own the franchise, especially since this collaborative model has proven it can produce games that even rival Fallout 4.
While Obsidian excels at incorporating deep RPG elements, I am less confident in their ability to deliver the specific gameplay mechanics I enjoy, such as engaging exploration, settlement building, and romanceable companions. However, I recognize that Obsidian stepping in now would effectively bridge the current gap, delivering a new Fallout experience much sooner than Bethesda could manage. I appreciate the idea of them taking the lead in the interim; my hope is simply that once Bethesda concludes their work on The Elder Scrolls VI, they will return to take the reins and guide the Fallout series forward.
What are your thoughts on this?
