Beacon in the Void Studios is where strange worlds become games, stories, and soundtracks.
Follow the development of three original projects:
• **Greetings, Warden!** — a D&D-inspired asymmetric co-op game where one player fights through an intergalactic prison while the other cleans, repairs, and recycles the destruction.
• **In-Between** — a narrative sci-fi horror board game about survival, impossible choices, and encounters with the unknowable.
• **In-Between: Echoes of Life** — a dark top-down action game following Echo and his living symbiote through a hostile far future.
Between development updates, explore dark cinematic music playlists featuring piano, cello, noir jazz, eldritch ambience, and genre experiments inspired by the worlds we’re building.
Subscribe to watch ideas become prototypes—and prototypes become worlds.
If you can’t see the Beacon, BE the beacon in the void.

A little **Greetings, Warden!** development update:
Right now I’m working on the skeleton of the game in Godot 4 — getting the basic character controller, animations, equipment, scenes, and core systems into place before I start worrying about making everything look pretty.
The exciting part is that I’ve already started building a library of assets that should let me prototype the actual game much faster. Some of the things you’ll hopefully start seeing soon include:
⚔️ **KayKit Fantasy Weapons** — swords, spears, axes and other gear for the Warden
🛡️ **Quaternius Modular Outfits + Universal Base Character** — helping build the Warden’s mix of fantasy armor and futuristic equipment
🏃 **Quaternius Universal Animations 1 & 2** — movement, combat and character animations
🤖 **Quaternius Low Poly Animated Robot** — one of the starting points for experimenting with the facility’s droids
🏢 **Quaternius Sci-Fi Essentials + Modular Megakit** — the building blocks for the sterile containment facility itself and powerful high-tech weaponry
✨ **EffectBlocks** — spells, weapon effects, impacts and all the wonderfully destructive things that are eventually going to make the cleanup crew’s life miserable
There isn’t much of a “game” to show yet — this is very much the stage where I’m assembling the bones underneath it.
But seeing the Warden and facility droids actually standing in Godot, holding weapons, playing animations, and starting to exist as something more than concept art has been incredibly exciting.
Greetings, Warden! is starting to become a real game.
More experiments, failures, weird droids, magic, facility damage, and questionable Warden decisions soon.

Beacon in the Void Studios
We’re stepping into the next chapter of Beacon in the Void.
Until now, many of these stories have lived in forgotten streets, flooded tunnels, forbidden rituals, and places where ordinary people brushed against something ancient.
Now, we move far into the future.
Humanity has carried its fears, ambitions, and mistakes into the stars—and the darkness followed.
At the center of this chapter is Echo, a damaged machine bound to a living symbiote. He travels through abandoned stations, dying ships, fractured colonies, and worlds touched by forces no one fully understands. Some stories will be quiet and lonely. Others will involve lost crews, impossible signals, corrupted technology, strange civilizations, and entities waiting beyond the edge of known space.
Echo is not a hero in the traditional sense. He is a survivor, a witness, and perhaps something still becoming.
This new setting gives us room to explore cosmic horror, science fiction, mystery, music, and the question at the heart of the Beacon:
What remains of us when everything familiar is gone?
The scene may be changing, but the light is the same.

Most stories I want to tell start with original Lyrics I write and put to music. Do you enjoying having a story song included in the playlist or would you prefer no spoken words / separate videos for the original songs?

There are a lot of places you can go for background music, so we’re glad you found your way into the Void.
We’re a small but ambitious studio creating strange worlds, stories, games and music. Every listen helps us continue building something we hope feels distinctly our own.
In the works are a Steam game set in the future where the dark corners of space stare back and a 1-5 person board game that's in prototype for the same universe.
Like many, we work during the week and hope to share more of our world with you. If you can't see the Beacon, BE the beacon in the void.
