I'm just a random teenager from Lincolnshire who likes trains, I really like class 37s and most heritage locos. (especially diesels!).
some of my favourite locos and multiple units are: class 91s, 37s, Deltics, 47s and the class 3F "Jinty" for some reason I also like 142s.

On this day in 1987, InterCity 125 power cars 43102 and 43159 made railway history 148.5mph. And still nobody’s beaten it. Leading a shortened six-vehicle test train between Darlington and York, it reached 148.5mph on the East Coast Main Line. The run was part of testing new bogies for the new MK4 coaches. All these years later, that run remains the official world speed record for diesel-powered rail traction. 43102 survives today, preserved at Locomotion, Shildon, 43159 however, is still alive and kicking doing railtours with 125Group!
