Hi I’m Olusegun Iyejare, a developmental psychologist, I’ll help you notice patterns you’d otherwise skip.
This channel, Culturd breaks down the psychology behind the drama & chaos of modern life. From sex and relationships to faith, humor, and social media, we ask the questions everyone’s thinking but no one’s bold enough to say out loud.
Expect culture, science, taboos and truth.

We can start another conversation about if talking should be this fast paced or not, but we must first acknowledge that that's where we are right now.
I'm convinced we don't truly know ourselves or reach the depths of our insights because we don't have deep enough conversations, and deep conversations rarely happen quickly. They are a product of reflection, contemplations, and reiterations of thoughts, all of which take time.
The quickest solution is journaling. With a pen and paper, you can think slowly and talk slowly, but that, again, is you falling into the trap of “quick”.
So the slow solution, and one that will make your life richer and friendships deeper, is to intentionally, from time to time, have slow conversations where there are a lot of pauses…, and sighs, and soft smiles…, then six words and silence again.
