🎓 Collection of actual data by field TAB Technician during Testing, Adjusting and balancing plays a key role in evaluating the mechanical performance of the machine.
Precisely evaluation of Airflow performance of any air source equipment (AHU/FAN) by most acceptable method ‘’Pitot tube Duct Traverse (PDT)’’ the accuracy of duct traverse data is very important and our field TAB Technicians should be aware of:
I. Acceptable methodology of duct traverse and
II. Selection of duct traverse location.
“The traverse data is acceptably accurate if 75% of readings are greater than the 10% of the maximum value recorded during the ‘’PDT”. Its important to note that acceptability of the traverse plane is determined solely by the quality of the data and not necessarily by the location of the traverse plane.
“Accuracy of the Pitot tube traverse is determined by the availability of a suitable location of duct to perform the PDT.’’

🎯 Scope was performed with precision, client expectations, NEBB procedures and standards and Projects Specifications to deliver high performance buildings, especially in areas of like Production and QC labs where IAQ was so critical to achieve.
