On 19 September 2026, Bagchi Sri Shankara Cancer Centre and Research Institute, in collaboration with East Coast Railway Khordha Road Hospital, conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme at the hospital’s Conference Hall.

Dr. Soumitra Ranjan Barik, Senior Consultant & HOD – Radiation Oncology, and Dr. Biplab Mishra, Consultant – Surgical Oncology, led scientific sessions covering advanced radiotherapy, contemporary surgical oncology, and modern cancer treatment procedures.

The programme also included an overview of Bagchi Sri Shankara Cancer Centre and Research Institute’s advanced cancer care facilities and provided an opportunity for meaningful clinical interaction among healthcare professionals.
