Low Budget Spyder Rider

Welcome to Low-Budget Spyder Rider — a channel built around the real-world Can-Am Spyder ownership experience.

We talk about the machines, but the conversation goes much deeper than modifications and accessories.

From upgrades, maintenance and riding experiences to buying decisions, BRP's latest moves and the future of the Can-Am Spyder platform — if it affects Spyder owners, it's worth talking about.

I share my experiences owning, riding and modifying my Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky, but this channel isn't just about my Spyder. It's about our experiences as Spyder owners.

Some of the best conversations start in the comments. Your experiences, opinions and questions often become part of the discussion — and sometimes inspire the next video.

The Spyder is the subject.

Ownership is the perspective.

Conversation is the product.

The rider is the story.

Low Budget Spyder Rider

YOU ALL TAUGHT ME SOMETHING IN 2026... 👊

When I started these conversations about Can-Am Spyder ownership, I thought I had a pretty good idea where they would go.

I was wrong.

Over the past year, I've read your comments.

I've listened to your ownership stories.

The GOOD ones.

The BAD ones.

The expensive ones.

And especially the ones that reminded me why we ride these machines in the first place.

And somewhere along the way, something changed.

You weren't just responding to the videos anymore.

You were helping me shape the conversations.

Dealer experiences.

Reliability.

Service.

Cost of ownership.

Upgrades.

What BRP gets right.

What owners believe needs to change.

And maybe most importantly...

What owning a Spyder actually means to the people who ride them.

So this next video is different.

It's not just about what I think.

It's about what YOU — the Spyder owners — taught me in 2026.

New Video: Sun 10/04/26 🗓️

I have to admit.....

I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS.

Before the video drops, I want to ask you one question:

What's the ONE thing owning a Can-Am Spyder has taught YOU that you didn't know before you bought one?

Drop it below. 👇

Join the conversation, where:

The Spyder is the subject.

Ownership is the perspective.

Conversation is the product.

And more than ever...

THE RIDER IS THE STORY. 👊

🛑 THE SPYDER CONVERSATION HAS REACHED A CROSSROADS...

Over the last several weeks, we’ve talked about the future of the Can-Am Spyder, pricing, trade restrictions, dealer support, service experiences and what ownership actually looks like AFTER you bring one home.

And after reading your comments, I think we’ve reached an even bigger question.

🤔 Knowing everything you know NOW about owning a Can-Am Spyder... would you make the same decision again?

But this conversation isn't ONLY for current Spyder owners.

Maybe you're riding a Harley, Gold Wing, Indian or another platform right now... and you've been looking at the Spyder wondering whether it's time to make the switch.

What are YOU seeing in these ownership conversations that's influencing that decision?

Because this isn’t simply about whether you love the Spyder.

It’s about the ENTIRE ownership experience.

And whether you already own one or you're considering buying your first one, eventually you reach a crossroads.

Keep what you have?

Upgrade to another Spyder?

Make the move TO a Spyder?

Or start looking in a completely different direction?

👀 NEXT VIDEO: CROSSROADS: 9-27-26

And as always, I don’t want to answer these questions FOR you.

I want to hear how YOU answer them.

👇🏾 If you were standing at that crossroads TODAY, which direction would you go — and WHY?

Current owners AND potential owners... this conversation is for you.

The Spyder is the subject.
Ownership is the perspective.
Conversation is the product.
The Rider is the story.

🔥 THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES…

Last week, we changed direction because the developing U.S.–Canada trade situation was something the Spyder community needed to talk about.

And judging by the conversation in the comments… The Channel Community had plenty to say!

But now we’re switching gears and getting back to the conversation I originally had planned:

DEALER SUPPORT.

Because no matter what happens with tariffs, pricing, or the future of the Can-Am Spyder, there’s another part of the ownership experience that matters RIGHT NOW:

What happens when our Spyder needs service?

Some owners have great dealerships.

Others are being told:

“Drop it off.
No appointment.
We’ll get to it when we get to it.”

And in some cases, owners are talking about waiting WEEKS just to have their Spyder looked at.

So this week, we’re asking a much bigger question:

THE CAN-AM SPYDER HAS A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN WE THOUGHT

And maybe the most important question of all…

WHO’S GONNA FIX IT? 🤔

This isn’t about attacking dealerships or BRP.

It’s about continuing our discussion of the SPYDER OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE — the good, the bad, and what owners believe needs to improve.

👇 How is YOUR Can-Am dealer when it comes to service?

Good? Bad? Weeks out? No appointments?

Let’s hear it, Spyder Family.

YOUR experiences are what drive this conversation.

NEW VIDEO THIS SUNDAY!

🚨 CHANGE OF PLANS FOR SUNDAY…

I had another Spyder ownership conversation scheduled for this Sunday, but with what's happening between the United States and Canada, I think we need to switch gears.

Here’s what we know right now:

🇺🇸🇨🇦 U.S.–Canada trade tensions have escalated significantly.

President Trump has threatened Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier with losing access to the U.S. market unless it manufactures aircraft in the United States.

IMPORTANT: Bombardier and BRP are separate companies today. The President’s comments about Bombardier aircraft are NOT a ban on Can-Am Spyders.

But the story doesn’t end there.

New U.S. trade actions are reaching further into Canadian powersports products, while motorcycles have also become part of the expanding trade dispute.

And BRP itself has already said changes in the U.S. tariff environment could result in more than $500 MILLION in incremental tariff costs for the remainder of the year before mitigation measures.

So this Sunday, we’re going to ask a question that suddenly feels a lot more relevant:

COULD U.S.–CANADA TARIFFS RAISE CAN-AM SPYDER PRICES?

I’m not going to tell you something has happened to the Spyder when it hasn’t.

We’re going to separate WHAT WE KNOW from WHAT COULD HAPPEN — and talk about what all of this could eventually mean for Can-Am Spyder owners and the price of the next machine sitting in that showroom.

The dealer-support conversation isn’t going anywhere. We’re just moving it down the schedule.

This Sunday, we’re following the story.

👇 And as always…

Low Budget Spyder Rider

YOU ALL HAVE SPOKEN SO LET'S KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING 👀

First, I want to say THANK YOU.

The support, views, comments and conversations throughout this latest series have been incredible.

What started as a discussion about the future of the Can-Am Spyder RT has turned into something much bigger.

And I think we’ve found exactly what this channel is becoming:

The Spyder is the subject.

Ownership is the perspective.

Conversation is the product.

We’re not just talking about motorcycles anymore. We’re talking about what it actually means to BUY one, OWN one, SERVICE one, UPGRADE one — and eventually decide whether to buy another one.

And that brings us to the next conversation…

Is BRP’s Dealer Network Becoming the Spyder’s BIGGEST Problem?

🗓️ NEW VIDEO: Sunday 09-13-26

Because BRP can build the next-generation Spyder we’ve been asking for.

But none of that changes one very important question:

What happens AFTER you buy it?

If getting qualified service means long waits, limited technicians, inconsistent dealer support or traveling farther than you should have to… at some point, that becomes part of the ownership experience too.

And this time, I REALLY want to hear from the Spyder community:

How good — or bad — has YOUR dealer and service experience been?

Drop it in the comments. 👇

Because this conversation isn't just about BRP.

It's about us — the people who actually own these machines.

Low Budget Spyder Rider

Spyder Family....You all have truly showed up for the last TWO conversations.

Let’s keep the momentum going with this week’s video. 📢

We’ve asked why BRP hasn’t redesigned the Spyder RT.

Then we asked what the next generation actually NEEDS.

But there’s one question we haven’t answered...

What happens if BRP actually LISTENS? 🤔

Imagine they build it.

More power.
Better suspension.
Better technology.
Better comfort.

A truly next-generation Spyder RT.

It’s sitting right there on the showroom floor...

And the salesman asks:

“Would you like me to start the paperwork?”

👀 NOW the conversation gets interesting.

Because it’s easy to tell BRP what we want when we’re spending BRP’s money...

But what happens when it’s time to spend OURS?

💰 What would the price have to be?

🔑 What would make you trade the Spyder you already own?

🚫 And at what price would you simply walk away?

Would YOU actually buy the next Can-Am Spyder RT?

That’s the conversation in the next video.

THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES THIS SUNDAY…Spyder Family 👀

First, I want to say THANK YOU.

The response to “Why HASN'T BRP Redesigned the Spyder RT Since 2020?” has been incredible.

The views are great, but what I've enjoyed even more has been reading the comments and seeing how many Spyder owners have joined the conversation.

And you guys had A LOT to say.🤔

New engine? Better fuel economy? Shaft drive? More technology? Better suspension? A true redesign?

Your comments got me thinking about a completely different question…

If BRP really wants to move the Spyder RT forward, what does the 2028 Spyder RT actually NEED to fix?

That's exactly where we're going next.

🎥 NEW VIDEO — SUNDAY 08/30/26

“What the 2028 Can-Am Spyder RT MUST Fix”

And this one isn't just about what I want.

Some of the ideas we're discussing came directly from conversations happening right here in this channel community.

So before Sunday, I want to hear from you:

If BRP gave YOU the opportunity to change ONE thing about the next Spyder RT… what would it be? 👇

Keep those comments coming.

Low Budget Spyder Rider

The 2027 Can-Am lineup has been revealed… and once again, the Spyder RT looks very familiar.

That raises a bigger question:

Why no change?

Is BRP simply being too conservative with the Spyder RT?

Or are we watching something bigger happen — a shift away from the traditional large touring market that could explain why BRP isn't rushing to redesign its flagship Spyder?

This Sunday, we're digging into the numbers, the market, and what it could mean for the future of the Spyder RT.

Is the Can-Am Spyder RT caught in the decline of the traditional touring market?

👀 New video coming 08/23/26

But before we get there, I want to hear from you, Spyder Family:

Does the Spyder RT need a major update — or is BRP smart to leave a proven platform alone?

🛠️ CAN-AM SPYDER 1ST SERVICE — IS THE DEALERSHIP HYPE OR HELP? 🤔💰

New video: 08/16/2026🗓️

Spyder Family, you spend thousands of dollars buying your Spyder… then comes the question of servicing it.

Do you REALLY need the dealership? 👀

Storm my 2025 Can Am Spyder RT STS... has now been through her first dealership service, and it got me thinking…

When we pay dealership labor rates, are we just paying for an oil change and a receipt — or are we paying for something much more valuable?

🔧 Trained eyes on the machine
🔧 Safety inspection
🔧 Diagnostics
🔧 Experience with the Spyder platform
🔧 Peace of mind

Because anybody can hand you an invoice…

The real question is whether the dealership provided VALUE. 💯

That's exactly what we're talking about in an upcoming episode:

🔥 Can-Am Spyder 1st Service — Is the Dealership Hype or Help?

But before I give you MY answer, I want yours:

👇 Do you trust the dealership to service your Spyder?

🔴 HYPE — I do my own maintenance
🟢 HELP — A good Spyder technician is worth the money
🟡 DEPENDS — It all comes down to the dealership

Drop your experience below. 👇🏾

Low Budget doesn't mean No Budget — it means knowing where your money actually makes a difference. 💯

How do you protect your Spyder when it's parked? 🤔

Spyder Family, this is a question I get asked from time to time: How do I keep Storm, my 2025 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky, looking clean and protected?

Whether Storm is sitting outside for a few hours, overnight, or tucked away for the winter, our Spyders are constantly exposed to the elements—☀️ sun, 🌧️ rain, 🌾 pollen, 💨 dust, 🐦 bird droppings, and everything else Mother Nature throws at them.

I've been testing a solution on Storm, and I'll be sharing my honest thoughts in this week's video.

So, what's your go-to method?

☀️ I always use a cover.
🌤️ I park under a roof or carport.
🏠 I keep it in the garage.
🤷 I usually leave it uncovered.

Drop your answer in the comments! I'd love to hear how the Spyder Family protects their rides.
