I'm Hazel Gale, a former therapist turned author and creator of the fantasy mental health game, _Betwixt: The Story of You_.
I'm fascinated by anything that lies at the intersection of story and self-awareness, specifically the world of archetypes, symbols and metaphor.
This passion grew during my years working as a therapist, but what frustrated me was that most mental health apps don't allow this most magical (and powerful) side of therapy into the experience.
Betwixt is my answer to this problem — a text-based adventure game that takes you on an epic journey through your own mind — and this channel is where I share the theories, frameworks and ideas that continue to inspire our work.

Hi all,
I’m recovering from an operation — currently in bed with many more holes than usual, and one fewer organ.
As a result of everything that has led up to this, I’ve been a little slow on my comment replies. I do apologise if I’ve missed anything!
Thanks to our amazing team, however, we do have videos lined up! The next of which will be a look into how our trickiest friendships can also teach us the most about ourselves and how to live (truly) boundaried lives.
