Tonight, we're enjoying one of our family's all-time favorites: Bánh cuốn.

These delicate, silky-soft rice rolls are filled with savory ground meat, mushrooms, and shrimp, then topped with fresh herbs, crispy fried shallots, and cool cucumber slices. Every bite is finished with a drizzle of tangy fish sauce vinaigrette that brings all the flavors together.

What makes bánh cuốn even more special is the memory that comes with it. It takes us back to our childhood, when our mother would lovingly prepare it for the family. The aroma filling the kitchen, everyone gathering around the table, and the comfort of a home-cooked meal are memories we'll always cherish.

Some meals fill your stomach. Others fill your heart.

👀 His Eyes Wanted Everything in His Belly! 🦀🦞🐟

If there's one thing Preston loves, it's exploring new places—and the local seafood market in Da Nang was an adventure all on its own!

The moment we stepped inside, his eyes lit up with amazement. Row after row of fresh seafood filled the market, with so many varieties he had never seen before. From giant crabs and colorful fish to unique shellfish and sea creatures that were completely foreign to him, every corner brought a new surprise.

He couldn't stop pointing, asking questions, and imagining what each one might taste like. Honestly, I think his eyes wanted every single thing in his belly! 😂

One of the best parts of traveling with kids is watching them experience new cultures through food, sights, and local traditions. Moments like these turn simple market visits into unforgettable family adventures.

The kids found a natural waterslide at the top of our Yosemite hike 🌊

Come hike with us to the top of Vernal Fall in Yosemite National Park! 🥾🌲💦

This unforgettable family hiking adventure took us about 4 hours to reach the top of Vernal Falls, and every step brought incredible views and new challenges.

The morning hike was absolutely perfect. Towering pine trees gave us plenty of cool shaded spots, while the mountain breeze kept the trail refreshing and comfortable. As we climbed higher into the afternoon, the shade slowly disappeared and the heat became much more intense near the top of the mountain.

But the scenery made every difficult step worth it.

Streams and rivers flowed beside the trail almost the entire way, creating some of the most gorgeous views we’ve ever seen on a hike. Some sections of the rugged terrain were easy and relaxing, while other parts were steep vertical climbs that pushed our endurance. Going back down some of the steep rocky steps, we literally took baby steps one at a time. 😅

Of course, we needed plenty of breaks along the way:
💧 Water breaks
🥪 Lunch breaks
🍎 Snack breaks
😮‍💨 Catch-our-breath breaks

The kids had an absolute blast playing in the waterslide after such a long uphill climb. Seeing their excitement, laughter, and fearless energy made the entire hike even more special. Those are the moments that turn a tough hike into unforgettable family memories.

This hike challenged us physically, but the beauty of Yosemite and the joy on the kids’ faces made every mile worth it. ❤️

🔥 One little gadget turned our campfire into a roaring masterpiece tonight!

Tonight, we added a little technology to our campfire fun, and Preston was ALL IN! Using a portable fan to help the fire roar to life had him so excited. Watching his face light up as the flames danced into the night was one of those simple family moments we’ll always remember.

There’s just something special about teaching kids new things outdoors — a little adventure, a little responsibility, and a whole lot of memories being made around the fire. 🏕️🔥
