I make chilled out videos about all things space-related. I don't use AI or do promotional content. Hope you like what you see, thanks for stopping by!
Today I am adding my name to the creator-led #TeamHuman campaign calling for cross-party collaboration in achieving a slowdown in AI development.
We could talk at length about AI slop and how it’s affected YouTube, but for me the real threat is well beyond that now. Before I was a creator, I was a programmer, and the recent rogue agent hacking incidents in particular are horrifyingly indicative that we are headed for massive, uncontainable disruptions to our digital way of life if the companies involved don’t get on top of this soon.
With that in mind, by going to www.teamhuman.org/sea, you can add your name to their petition and the broadening international cohort of creators, experts and concerned citizens who are taking these issues to government and industry leaders. Thanks and see you next Sunday.
Just wanted to give you all your occasional reminder to follow my Spotify account! Most of my video catalogue from 2020 onwards is now available there, having gradually uploaded them once a week for the last year or so.
Right! Job done at CERN! Saw the ATLAS control room and learned a fantastic amount about the Large Hadron Collider and science of particle smashing- all in preparation for my next video in late August, which you definitely won’t want to miss.
On a side note, the final picture is of a real-life data tape used in the collider between 2012 and 2022. As someone who did a degree in Computer Science, it is now my favourite souvenir I’ve ever bought and shall be taking a prized place on my shelf 🫶
I’m going to CERN in Switzerland next week to research for my next video 😱🇨🇭I will stand at the helm of the now-dormant Large Hadron Collider as I learn about ATLAS and the High Luminosity LHC first hand!
Hopefully afterwards I’ll understand it all better 💀
The Great Attractor. The CMB Cold Spot. The Hubble Tension. Each is a mystery with Voids and Supervoids at its core. Tonight, these vast, empty cosmic spaces will take centre stage in my brand new video.
