I can’t believe I am 30… God’s taught me through the foolishness of my youth 👧 , my mistakes, my delays 🕰️ …. To be in the valley, in the midst of persecution, with enemies on every side ⚔️ , in rejection, in lack, in abandonment😔, is where my greatest blessings came from… I FOUND God in the valley and have praised Him for it on the mountain tops 🏔️. God is in the valley… teaching and correcting His children. Preparing them for the mountain tops!!! Revealing His great mercy through our suffering and stubbornness…It is in His love ❤️ He afflicts us. David would’ve never know God as protector if he didn’t experience 7 years of running 🏃 from Saul… he would’ve never known God as faithful to His promises if he had given up in the valley of hardship… He was molded.. through all of that to be the king he was called to be!

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

When we ask God to remove sins and habits we struggle with, to help us be obedient, He answers those prayers by leading us into the valleys, sometimes even the valley of the shadow of death.

When you ask God to help you overcome a sin EXPECT to suffer in the FLESH…

1 Peter 4:1

“Since the Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, be ye also armed with the same thought; for he that has suffered in the flesh has CEASED from sin”

When you ask God to help you be more obedient to Him EXPECT sufferings of all kinds to come….

Hebrews 5:8

He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

Psalm 119:67

Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.


So I THANK GOD for the valley. The lacks. The delays. The corrections. The mourning. The sadness. For in all of it, He makes me stronger and shows me the riches of His love and grace… He shows me WHO HE IS!

Thank you Lord for another year and another daughter on the way! 🩷 👶🏽

You are God’s child regardless of your age... If you invite Him in He will be with you through EVERY season of your life. The times you turn your back on Him and the times you are on fire 🔥 for Him , His love for you remains the SAME… when we don’t feel like God loves us it’s because we don’t believe we are lovable. When we don’t feel we are lovable, it’s because we’ve based our self worth on how others see us or how we see ourselves…. When really our worth is in how GOD SEES US, period. You don’t need to FEEL something is true for it to be true… God loves you and that’s a fact, whether you FEEL it or not. The reason you don’t feel it is because you’re not STAYING in His Presence. When you stay, there is no denying He loves you and has you here for a purpose. To change the world 🌎 to shine a light to those who are in darkness, to heal the broken hearted, and to be a carrier of His presence wherever you go. God isn’t phased by your phases. A parent may be phased at the teenage or toddler years, but God is always steps ahead of you planning the BEST for you!!! To live in rebellion against Him is to sin against your own soul… to refuse to seek His counsel as a child does a Father before decisions is to miss out on His blessings and put yourself through pain and unnecessary suffering/consequences…. To put Him second is to put yourself last and SELF DESTRUCT… It is health to your soul to heed His voice, it is life to your body and years to your life, it is joy to your heart, and peace to your mind to submit to Him and resist the devil and your fleshly desires, which war against the spirit…. Remember that repentance is a GIFT those suffering in Hell now WISH they still had…. when you feel it’s impossible to let go of the sins that you’ve entangled yourself in remember ALL things are possible WITH GOD… but you need to be WITH HIM to do the impossible. Evaluate in your heart what your definition of being with God is and see if there’s any compromise there, any laziness, any lack of prioritization, any lack of delight. It’s a delight to delight in Him, but if you’ve not TASTED you will not SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD. He loves you today, yesterday, and always…. He has BETTER PLANS for your life than you do. Don’t miss out on them by missing out on Him. Don’t miss out on the greatest Friend, Father, and Counselor you can have by placing things that will fade above Him. Come to Him today and let go of what keeps you from Him. It’s a decision you make in your free will, with His help and power and strength. You are LOVED!

Before you were held in your parents’ arms, you were in your heavenly Father’s hands 🤲 and you still are…

He KNOWS what is concerning you right now. He is a Father who is attentive to the NEEDS of His children.

He is fully aware of what is hurting you and He is asking you to lay it down at His feet and trust Him, that He is good when He GIVES AND when He TAKES AWAY.

When circumstances and people turn against us😤, God will allow us to be as the Israelites standing at the shores of the Red Sea 🌊, while their enemies, powerful and swift were charging at them. They were at a dead end it seemed… The enemy looked to be winning, and God looked to be absent. God waited until it seemed all hope was lost. He tested their hearts ❤️‍🔥in the fire of affliction. The Israelites cried😩 out to Moses, assuming the worst of God.

“Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?”

Exodus 14:11

They believed God abandoned them😔, despite how He had saved them and blessed them before through the plagues He placed on the Egyptians. When circumstances seem against us, do we immediately start doubting God?

“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

Exodus 14:14

Logically, speaking, in that moment, the circumstances really did look to be completely against the Israelites. They were at a dead end while the Egyptians, strong in their chariots, charged toward them with fierce anger. So why was Moses so confident in the face of impending doom? Moses was a man whom God spoke face-to-face with. He knew God intimately and due to this, he knew God’s faithfulness would save them. He is able to do the impossible, but sometimes He allows it to look as though we are about to be left with nothing. In doing this, He gives us the opportunity to grow our faith and confidence in Him. However, we can choose to allow fear and anxiety to take control.

“though an army may camp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this, I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his holy temple. For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion, in the secret place of his tabernacle he shall hide me; he shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies, all around me;”

Our confidence comes from putting God first and seeking Him above all things. When we have that as our #1 priority, we can know that all other things will naturally fall into place, even if they look like they are falling apart from the outside.

Today, reflect on the areas you feel God may abandon you or has abandoned you. Is it finances, marriage, or friendship? Choose to believe today if God can restore the years the locust have eaten, He can restore the years you have eaten and wasted. He does this for His glory and for the sake of your faith and walk with Him. He is just that good! All we need to do is be still in His presence and know He is God. Being still doesn’t mean idleness. It doesn’t mean passively waiting for God to move, while staring at the clock. It means seeking Him and the building up of His Kingdom while He fights our battles for us.

Isaiah 30:15 states: “For the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel has said; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:”

The Israelites fought against God’s commandment to keep a sabbath, a day of rest unto the Lord… The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Yet resisted this concept, continuing to work and labor  without any rest. This was an act of rebellion that derived from fear and mistrust in God.

God sees rest as so important and vital to us that He made it a commandment within the 10 commandments.  The kind of rest we are to have isn’t just physical, but spiritual. Letting God nourish our spirits and laying at His feet, surrendering all the baggage we carry throughout the week.

Psalm 127:2

“It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.”

True spiritual rest comes from sitting at Jesus’ feet. Scrolling on social media doesn’t count. Actually, that is a false rest Satan has convinced the world of. It actually depletes your energy and keeps you from resting.

God desires for us to enter into His rest, not just on the day we perish, but every day as we die to our own ways and the consistent leaning on our own understanding.

Satan not only attacks your sleep, but your mental rest by keeping your mind on the things and people of this world, causing you anxiety and restlessness.

Today, choose to do what feels unconventional to you. Choose to be Mary instead of Martha. Put your to-do list down, choose to give Jesus your worries and fears, and trust Him by sitting at His feet in surrender. Pour out your heart and your complaint and trust that the God of Heaven and Earth will move Heaven and Earth on your behalf.

This wise son would not have heard his father’s instruction had he not been in his father’s presence to hear him speak!

The wisdom of the Father is readily available for you, but you will NOT hear it if you do not spend time in His presence!
