For people who drink from skull mugs and still make it to work on time.
Hi — I’m Jen. 🖤
I love horror, Halloween, old places and things, oddities, and the paranormal.
I decorate my home, make things, explore haunted and interesting places, and find ways to keep a little bit of that magic around all year.
Mostly, I’m just here to share what I love and whatever I happen to be getting into.
Stay spooky. 🖤💀

🎃 31 Nights of Horror | Nights 11 & 12 🎬
Night 11: Destination Truth – S02E07 (Aokigahara Forest) 🌲
If you’re a believer in the paranormal, or at least a curious skeptic, Destination Truth was one of the few paranormal television shows that actually built some credibility with me.
Josh and the team’s chemistry and humor made this one of my favorite shows back in the day, and it’s one I still revisit regularly. This particular episode genuinely gave me the creeps. Some VERY interesting evidence, too.
Night 12: The Nun II (2023) ⛪
Tonight we are watching The Nun II.
I actually appreciated that they filmed a lot on location. Seeing beautiful old European settings instead of everything being done on a soundstage is refreshing.
Does the movie go completely off the rails in the third act? Absolutely. 🤣 But I still appreciate the gorgeous cinematography, gothic atmosphere, and some decent scares.
Have you seen either of these? And does anyone else remember Destination Truth? 🤣

🎃 31 Days of Horror | Nights 9 & 10 🎃
Night 9 was The Yeti… well, I had such high hopes for this one! 😮💨 We had to experience at least one terrible horror movie this month. 🤣🤷🏼♀️ If you’re looking for a much better Sasquatch horror movie, I highly recommend Willow Creek (2013). It’s fantastically unnerving.
For Night 10, it’s Mr. Ghoul’s turn to pick, and tonight we’re watching Dog Soldiers (2002), one of his favorite werewolf horror movies.
Happy Saturday night, everyone! What’s everyone watching tonight? 🎃🍿
P.S. I’m also starting to edit my seasonal baking video that I finished filming today, so keep an eye out for that soon! 🖤🎃

🎃 31 Days of Horror | Nights 7 & 8 🎃
Last night was Werewolves (2024), and tonight we’re going international with Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018)! 🇰🇷
Night 7 was pure B-movie horror magic! 😂 Werewolves had us cracking up and cheering at the TV the entire time. Ridiculous in all the best ways.
For Night 8, we’re heading to South Korea with a highly rated found-footage horror film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum. Never seen it but I want to give it a whirl!
I really love discovering new horror movies, especially ones I might not have picked otherwise. Some are great, some are terrible, and sometimes the terrible ones end up being the most fun.
Happy horror watching, everyone! 🖤

🎃 Countdown to Halloween — Day 6/31
Tonight we’re switching things up with a newer one: Weapons.
I’ve been really curious about this one, so we’re finally watching it tonight. Going in pretty blind, which is always a great way to do horror.
Have you seen Weapons yet?

🎃 Countdown to Halloween — Days 4 & 5/31
A little catch-up!
For Day 4, we started Widow’s Bay and watched the first three episodes. Shoutout to one of my subscribers who recommended it to me a couple months ago, I’d been waiting for the perfect time to watch, and October felt right. 🖤
We’re really enjoying it so far, and episode three?! The Sea Hag. Freaking incredible. That’s all I’m saying. 🌊
Widow’s Bay put us in the mood for tonight’s pick: John Carpenter’s The Fog. 🌫️
Happy Monday, everybody. Hope you’re settling in with something relaxing and horror-filled tonight. 🖤

Since I’ve been sharing what I’m watching each night this October, I thought I’d put together some of my favorite horror picks for anyone looking for something spooky to watch. 🎃
This is definitely not everything I love, I had to narrow it down somehow! 😂 Most of these are old favorites around here, and while horror is good year-round, it just hits a little different in October. I also included some spooky TV for those nights when you want something shorter to watch, especially during the work week.
I’d love to know what y’all would put on your list too. And if there’s something you love that you think I’d enjoy, please share it! Half the fun of horror is finding something you haven’t seen yet. 🎃🖤
********* Edit: *********
Forgot to add The X Files episodes:
- Beyond the Sea — S1 E13
- Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose — S3 E4.
(A total must)

🎃 Halloween Countdown 🎃
Day 3/31
Tonight’s pick: KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE (1988) 🤡🍿
I’ve always gravitated toward psychological and paranormal horror, but many moons ago Mr. Ghoul introduced me to the wonderfully weird world of campy B-movie horror. This one definitely helped expand my horror tastes into the weird, wacky, and wonderfully fun side of the genre. 🖤
So tonight, it’s Killer Klowns night! 🤡
What’s everyone watching tonight? 🎃🍿
