I’ve been kinda getting a lot of EAH reels lately and I’ve been hating this one thing about the fandom-

“ apple white is a spoiled brat. “

Ok. Let’s think about this for a second- Apple spent her ENTIRE life being told that she WILL be the next Snow White- and no, it’s not a choice for her- it’s either live it out or EVERYONE in her story could go poof- (or in our case, DIE.)

Not only was she told this by her mom, Headmaster Grim has been leading her to believe that’s the ONLY way- (we also see this when he attempted to trick Raven with the skeleton of one of the supposed sisters, as well as her “vision” in the well-)

Apple groomed (not s3xually) her entire life into believing that she has this role to play or else- and of course, this doesn’t help with the fact that so many have put these insecurities in her head, such as with her hair-

Yes, Apple could be a little much at times, but she’s still a teenager- a SCARED teenager who just wants to live- we see she still cares for Raven, but she was raised to this extreme- and doesn’t know any better- she BELIEVES she is doing everyone a favor-

And with how Snow White and the Headmaster are, do you think they told Apple what would actually happen to Raven? No. Apple does not exactly know the consequences of what would happen- if I remember, when Raven actually signs the storybook, she was horrified of what Raven almost became- (she was NOT ready for that-)

And we can’t just expect people to change over night, you know? Riddle Rosehearts has a similar thing- where he was raised to believe that’s you HAVE to follow the rules- otherwise there WILL be consequences- in which it got to the point where EVERYONE feared him- after his overblot, he still has some issues to fix- but everyone in the fandom still loves him-

That’s just MY interpretation of Apple- I love her to bits, and I really don’t think the fandom is treating her fairly- if I were raised to believe that my future HAS to be perfect otherwise people could die, I’d try to get everyone to cooperate too-

Of course I completely understand Raven’s side too- but Apple has her reasons

I have noticed this a lot with Neige and Vil too- people just love hating on Neige since he is overly sweet and was a little connected to Vil’s past-

Neige literally raised himself and his dwarf friends from the beginning- his acting career was literally a way to make money in order to raise them-

It literally wasn’t his fault that he was always chosen for the protagonist roles- that’s quite literally the entertainment industry’s fault- he’s quite literally just trying to do his job for the sake of others’ well being-

People LOVE Neige since he is genuine and relatable- and Vil, to the people is just far too perfect (of course, he has his flaws, but the media doesn’t show that-)

Like apple, really Neige being who he is today isn’t his fault- it’s just the people around him’s fault that he gets this sort of treatment-
