I’m on a mid-life wellness journey, rebuilding my health from the inside out.
In 2018, I lost 150 pounds. I gained a lot of it back. Last year, I already dedicated myself and now I’m down 100 pounds again. But weight loss isn’t the whole story.
This channel documents, the parts of health people don’t always talk about, including my decision in my late 40s to pursue full dental implants after years as a failed root canals, crowns, and missing teeth.
I started this channel because when I was researching dental implants, I couldn’t find detailed honest, patient stories, just providers.
So I’m sharing mine.

The bruising definitely showed up more today

But… swelling is starting to go down
and pain is getting more manageable

Surgery is DONE 🙌
I’m home, very swollen, very sore, and officially in recovery mode. I managed (after multiple failed attempts 😅) to get most of a protein shake down despite being super numb and swollen.
I’ve started my antibiotics and pain/swelling meds—using ibuprofen first and hoping to avoid the opioid if possible, but staying open to what my body needs.
I can’t talk right now, so Siri has been my communication MVP 😂
I’ll share more updates as I start feeling better—this is just the beginning of the healing journey.

Post-op. Temp teeth in progress. Nap time 😴
I was mostly awake for about half of the surgery…
and honestly? It wasn’t bad.
No pain, just pressure.
A lot of unknown. A lot of trust.
This is one of those moments in my journey where I choose long-term health over short-term comfort.
Not glamorous. Not easy.
But worth it.
More of the real journey coming 💛
