Ok I'm looking for a short rock song to mix live on YT. I would like a real band recording with real drums and amps. ( I know that's hard these days) I will mix the song for free, you just have to agree to let me broadcast it. Any takers? DM me

Have you seen this yet!? I discovered this just a few weeks ago and convinced Dave to put a vocal on it. Neither of us have any recollection of recording the instruments for this during the session for the first @foofighters record. Tomorrow July 2nd 12pm PST I will be doing a live broadcast on @BarrettJonesProducer talking about this recording session and other stuff. Let me know below if you have any questions you want answered about this record.

30 years ago on July 4th 1995, the self titled @foofighters LP was released. The recording session, at Robert Lang Studio in Shoreline WA, happened over a 5 day stretch in October 1994, and was only my second time in a "big" 24 track studio. I was a kid in the candy store with all the amazing outboard gear and mics, and the sound of that room! In those 5 days, with Dave playing everything, we tracked 15 full songs (and a few more unfinished) and on the last day I made a rough mix that Dave made into 100 cassettes and handed out to friends. Months later in Northern California the LP was mixed by Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf of Bong Load records who were coming off the success of "Loser" by Beck. The first pic you see of Dave and I is from that mixing session.
Next Tuesday, July 1st at noon PST, I will do a live broadcast on my channel @BarrettJonesProducer in celebration of this recording. I'll be fielding questions, talking about the session, and equipment and so on. Also, I have something special planned.

Here's a great in-depth documentary and interview with Barrett Jones about "The Can" amp. Used all over the first @foofighters release and many other records produced by Barrett.
