When you work at a World Cup, you’re not just working at a football tournament. You’re witnessing moments that millions of people will remember forever.

This time, I was lucky enough to work on matches involving all four semifinalists. I hosted Cristiano Ronaldo’s final World Cup press conference, welcomed Didier Deschamps for his last World Cup match as France’s head coach, watched England celebrate its best World Cup finish in 60 years, saw the Norwegians rowing, the English singing Hey Jude, Messi and Haaland score, Vozinha become one of the stories of the tournament, Cabo Verde come within touching distance of eliminating Argentina, Brazil put on an incredible performance against Scotland, and Spain begin the run that ended with another World Cup title.

All of that happened between Miami and Dallas. This was my sixth World Cup, and after more than 20 years working at major sporting events, I still can’t believe I get to call this a job. I’m incredibly grateful.

Thank you to everyone who captured these moments, either at the stadium or from the TV. At the time, you are always too busy to realize they are happening.

Looking back now, I realize I was collecting memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

There are thousands of people around the world whose job is to tell travel stories.

They explore destinations, attend events, discover what's new, and inspire others to see more of the world.

But very few are invited to events like the ‪@ustravelassociation‬ IPW. This year, there were exactly 526 journalists. And somehow, I was one of them.

Even after years of creating travel content, moments like this still stop me in my tracks. Because behind every achievement is a reminder that something that started with curiosity, a camera, and a passion for exploring the world has grown into opportunities I once couldn't have imagined.

IPW is the largest international travel trade show in the United States. Every year, representatives from destinations, attractions, hotels, airlines, tourism boards, and travel brands from across the country come together to showcase what's new and what's next in American travel.

It's where future trips, partnerships, stories, and ideas begin.

And this was already the fifth time receiving this invitation to join.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible. But more than anything, I'm grateful to all of you who watch my videos 🙏. None of this happens alone.

What makes IPW special isn't just what happens inside the convention center.

Every year, the event takes place in a different city, giving journalists the chance to experience that destination firsthand. In 2026, the stage was ‪@visitlauderdale‬

And the timing couldn't have been better.

As I'm showing FIFA World Cup host cities, Fort Lauderdale now deserves even more attention. While it's not officially a host city, it's close to Miami's World Cup stadium and will likely be a base for many fans visiting South Florida during the tournament.

So over the next few weeks, you'll also see Fort Lauderdale shorts here and in my other social media channels, together with content featuring Miami and the other host cities. They are ideas, experiences, and fun facts that could make your trip during or after the World Cup even more memorable.

Because sometimes you travel somewhere for one reason...

Gratitude fills my heart as I reflect on yet another year of global exploration. These pictures are from Gunma, Japan—a hidden gem merely an hour from the heart of Tokyo. Thanks to our work creating videos, we were invited to travel to Gunma and capture its essence on camera.
