I’ve heard a couple rumors circulating about the future of Generation X Roleplay, so I want to address everything directly to prevent any further confusion.
It’s true that the FiveM server will be taken offline. After a discussion with my executive team last night, I made the decision to shut down the Generation X FiveM server at the end of the month for no other reason aside from me justifying the cost I spend each month to keep it open. In addition, the FiveM market today is filled with many excellent servers, many of which you’re already enjoying.
When I first started Generation X, my vision was to build a gaming community, not one centered around a single game. Over time, FiveM demanded more and more of my attention, and I realized I had drifted away from that original goal.
While we are moving away from FiveM, this is not the end of Generation X. I’m returning to the original vision of growing the Generation X Gaming Community. I don’t have all the details mapped out yet, but it most likely won’t involve FiveM. This is a new chapter, not a goodbye.
I’ll include my personal Discord link in the comments below. This will serve as the starting point for the next phase of the Generation X Gaming Community. I want to thank you all for being part of this ride and hope to see you in the next chapter.
