About this channel:
Most people come to spirituality looking for peace.
But real peace is not found in rituals, mantras, or motivational videos.
It is found by understanding your own mind at a level most people never go to.
On this channel, I explore the deeper science of consciousness through Zen Yoga, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Vedanta, and psycho-spiritual therapy. Not as a theory. But as lived experience.
I am Abhishek Singh. A psycho-spiritual therapist, Zen Yoga practitioner, and spiritual teacher with a community of 40K people who are serious about their inner evolution.
If you are done with surface-level spirituality and want to go deeper, you are in the right place.
Here you will find:
Zen Yoga series, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras explained, consciousness and mental health, spiritual philosophy, and practical inner work.

The most successful people you see are completely lost inside.
From the outside everything looks sorted.
Career. Status. Reputation.. The kind of life most people spend years chasing.
But sit with them for an hour and something else emerges.
Maybe they cannot sleep properly.
Maybe their relationships feel hollow.
Maybe they keep achieving and still feel empty.
And they have no idea why!!
I have worked with these people..
Iβve seen them giving the most brilliant advice to others because when they are helping someone else they operate from their prefrontal cortex which is clear and rational.
But when it comes to their own life they are operating from fight or flight mode which is reactive and anxious. Running on autopilot patterns they have never once examined.
And that is not their fault.
Nobody ever taught them how their mind works.
The education system taught them everything except that..
So they spent decades becoming excellent at their profession and never once turned inward.
And then one day they have everything. And they sit with the question nobody prepared them for.
βWhy am I not at peace?β
These are the people I work with in my 1:1 consultations.
And what I have seen is that once you genuinely understand how your mind works, the patterns that were running your life unconsciously become visible. And the moment you can see them clearly you are no longer at their mercy.

If you follow one guru and reject all others, you donβt understand spirituality.
Spirituality was never about finding the right teacher and following them blindly.
Rather itβs about developing the discernment to take what resonates with you from whoever you encounter and leave behind what does not.
From one teacher you may take a meditation technique. From another a philosophy.
And from some you take nothing.
But the moment you start rejecting wisdom simply because it did not come from your chosen source, you have replaced seeking with belonging.
And that is religion. Not spirituality.
Religion tells you what to believe. It gives you a framework and asks you to stay within it.
Spirituality asks you to find out for yourself.
Question.
Explore.
Take full responsibility for your own inner journey without outsourcing it to anyone.
No guru can do that work for you.
Not even the best one.

Every expectation you have is a leash. And you handed someone else the other end.
I learned this the hard way.
For years I expected people to understand me. To see what I was doing and why. To meet me where I was.
They did not. And I kept suffering because of it.
And then one day something became very clear to me.
Nobody is responsible for meeting your expectations. The moment I stopped waiting for people to show up in a certain way, something I cannot fully explain happened.
I stopped being disappointed. Not because people changed. Because I did.
That is what dropping expectations actually does.
It does not make you cold or indifferent. It makes you free. Free from being at the mercy of what someone else does or does not do.
And from that freedom you start giving without needing anything back. You start loving without keeping score.
That is the only freedom that actually lasts.

We raise boys to be half human. And then wonder why so many men feel so empty inside.
Think about what we tell them growing up.
Don't cry. Be strong. Stop being so sensitive.
And the boy learns. He tucks it all away. The softness. The tears. The parts of himself that feel too much.
And then he grows up. And he does not know why he feels disconnected from his own life. Why his relationships feel hollow. Why success feels empty even when he achieves everything he was supposed to want.
I have sat with men like this.
And what I have seen underneath all that armor is not weakness.
It is grief. For the parts of themselves they were told to abandon a long time ago.
The man who can access his softness, his empathy, his vulnerability, is not less of a man.
He is the one who actually knows who he is.
And in my experience, that man loves differently. Leads differently. Lives with a kind of depth that no amount of toughness can produce.

I was standing on the 20th floor of a hotel looking down.
And the people walking on the street below looked like ants.
That one moment stopped me completely.
Because if we look this small from just 20 floors up, imagine what we look like from a plane. From space. From the perspective of this universe that has existed for 13.8 billion years.
We are not even a footnote.
And yet we walk around like we own this planet.
Here is what struck me in that moment.
We are to this earth what bacteria are to a human body. Tiny organisms living on a much larger living system.
But unlike healthy bacteria that support the body, we have turned cancerous.
We are consuming our host without giving anything back. Destroying the very ecosystem that keeps us alive. And the ones who actually think about the planet, who actually care, are the minority.
Most of us, and especially the capitalist system driving our choices, would rather find another planet to move to after destroying this one.
And here is the most uncomfortable truth of all.
We did not even exist when the dinosaurs were here. We are a recent arrival on this planet. A blip. A footnote in earth's 4.5 billion year history.
But just because we developed the ability to think and innovate, we decided we are the most important thing that ever existed here.
That arrogance is not intelligence.
It is our greatest weakness.
And the only thing that can shift it is not more technology.
It is a genuine spiritual awakening. A realization that we are not above this planet.
We are part of it.
And right now we are not acting like it.

The most lonely place in the world is not being alone. It is being with someone who does not truly see you.
And I think you know this feeling. You just do not say it out loud.
Because from the outside everything looks fine. You are together. You show up for each other. You manage life as a team.
But something is missing.
That deep recognition. That feeling of being known at a level that has nothing to do with what you do for each other or what you bring to the table.
Most relationships I see are built on exchange. And exchange is not love. It is a contract.
Real love, the kind that actually sustains, happens when you stop seeing the other person as separate from you.
Not because you have merged into one person. But because you have reached a level of understanding where their silence tells you more than their words.
Where you do not need to explain yourself because they already know. Where the connection has moved so far beyond the physical that it has become something closer to a spiritual friendship.
That kind of love does not demand. It does not keep score. It does not threaten to leave when things get hard.
Because it was never conditional to begin with.
If you have found that, hold it carefully.
And if you have not, do not settle for anything that feels like loneliness dressed up as companionship.
You deserve to be truly seen.

The 1980s trend is everywhere. But in the 1980s the Amazon was still intact. The glaciers were still whole. The air was still cleaner.
We are so fascinated by what we looked like 45 years ago. And completely unbothered about what this planet will look like 45 years from now.
No amount of AI generated nostalgia will fix what we are doing to this earth.
What will fix it is a fundamental shift in human consciousness.
A person who has genuinely evolved their mind cannot destroy nature without feeling it in themselves. They live differently. They consume differently.
That evolution begins with one honest question.
Am I living in a way that gives back to this earth or only takes from it?
Ask yourself that every single day.
Because the earth does not need our technology.
It needs our awareness.

The mind that is always scanning for what is missing will always find something missing.
That is not pessimism. That is just how an untrained mind works.
I have sat with people who had everything and felt empty. And people who had very little but carried a fullness that was almost tangible.
The difference was never the circumstances.
It was where their attention lived.
Gratitude is not something you feel when life is good. It is a state of consciousness you cultivate deliberately. Every single day.
And here is something practical you can do starting today.
Before you pick up your phone in the morning, spend two minutes naming three things that are already working in your life. Not things you want. Things you already have.
Do this every day for 30 days and notice what shifts.
Not in your circumstances.
In you.

A few of you asked something after my video on Yama and Niyama that I want to address directly.
The question was, if we purify our mind and practice non-violence and love, does that mean we have to silently accept injustice? Does it mean we have to love even those who intentionally harm us?
No. Absolutely not.
Purifying your mind does not mean becoming a pushover.
Ahimsa, non-violence, is about not causing unnecessary harm. It is not about tolerating intentional harm directed at you.
There is a massive difference between reacting from anger and ego, which is what Yama and Niyama help you move beyond, and taking a conscious, clear-headed stand against genuine injustice.
Arjuna on the battlefield is the perfect example. Krishna did not tell him to love his enemies and walk away. He told him to fight. But to fight without ego, without hatred, without losing himself in the process.
That is what an evolved mind actually looks like.
It is not passive also not a victim. Absolutely not someone who absorbs harm with a smile.
But someone who can take a stand from a place of clarity rather than from a place of blind rage.
Purity of mind gives you the strength to fight better. Not the weakness to stop fighting altogether.

The person who made you furious today did not create your anger. They just found it.
Think about that for a moment.
Because every time you are genuinely furious at someone, something else is happening underneath it that you never look at honestly.
You felt out of control in that moment.
Someone said something or did something and suddenly you felt powerless. Disrespected. Vulnerable. And the mind cannot sit with that feeling for long.
So it converts it into something that feels stronger.
Anger.
Because anger feels like power. Vulnerability does not.
But underneath almost every moment of rage is fear. Fear of not being respected. Fear of losing something you were holding too tightly. Fear of being seen as less than you are.
That person in front of you did not create that fear, in fact it was already waiting.
And until you are honest about what you are actually afraid of, you will keep directing it outward in the form of anger.
