Today marks 27 years since Traci Kegley disappeared from Elmore County, Alabama. Her car was found abandoned on the side of the road⦠and her 2-year-old daughter left alone, unharmed but without her mother.
Traci was only 30 years old. A devoted mom, a loved daughter, a friend to many. She didnāt walk away from her life ā someone took her, and for 27 years, her family has been forced to carry the weight of not knowing where she is or what happened.
Weāve confirmed that Traciās case remains an active investigation. SBI is still working leads. And they still need the communityās help.
If you know somethingāeven if you think it doesnāt matterāit could be the key that finally brings answers. After nearly three decades, Traci's family deserves the truth. They deserve peace. And the person responsible deserves to face justice.
š¢ Share her story. Speak her name. Keep the spotlight shining.
11-year-old Shannon Paulk was a bright, outgoing, and kind-hearted girl who brought joy to her Candlestick Park mobile home community in Prattville, AL. On August 16, 2001, Shannon set out for a normal summer day of playābut tragically, she never came home.
Her remains were found seven weeks later in a hunting preserve 15 miles away, leaving her family and community devastated. Over 23 years later, Shannon's case remains unsolved, with no justice yet for her senseless murder.
We're digging deep into newspaper archives and online articles to uncover more details about Shannon's story. Stay tuned for an upcoming episode of Unforgotten where weāll share her story in greater depth, honoring her memory and seeking justice.

We have updated Shannon's page on our website to include a PDF of all media articles we've found. We also ran text recognition on the file, so it should be searchable for anyone looking for specific information.
Tomorrow, #GivingTuesday is more than just a day of giving. Itās a chance to transform #hope into #action.
